Cog Attacks
A Cog attack is an attack used by Cogs dealing a certain amount of damage to a Toon. The damage of Cog attacks depend on the Cog's level, whether the Cog is an Executive or not, as well as the attack being used. Cog attacks are measured by their damage, frequency, and accuracy. Some Cog attacks affect only one Toon while other attacks can deal damage to all Toons in battle.

Statistics
Damage
The amount of damage a Cog attack does is seen by the amount of Laff Points a Toon loses if the attack successfully hits them. Damage usually increases as a Cog increases in level. Damage done by Executive Cogs will deal 1.2x the normal amount of damage. Cog damage typically rounds down.
Frequency
The frequency or usage of a Cog attack is the likelihood of the Cog using that attack compared to its other attacks. Combining all of that level's attack frequencies will always add up to 100%.
Accuracy
The accuracy of a Cog attack is the likelihood of the attack hitting the Toon(s). Accuracy usually increases as a Cog increases in level, with a cap of 95%.
Overleveling
If that Cog's level is far beyond their usual leveling system (such as a Level 6 Flunky), they are given +1 damage added to their max damage for every level that they've bypassed. Frequency and Accuracy of their attacks remain the same as their max level, and the Executive damage boost is multiplied after the additive damage is applied first. Overleveling a Cog can only be possible in Manager fights, such as the Chainsaw Consultant.
Targeting
Cog attacks will typically be put into 2 categories: Targets a single Toon or targets all Toons. Some attacks are capable of only attacking 2 Toons, but this is usually not the case. When a Cog uses a group attack, each Toon has a chance to be hit or to dodge the attack. For attacks aimed at a single Toon, Cogs will follow an aggro system. All Toons in the fight will start with 1 point of aggro, giving all 4 Toons an equal chance to be hit to start with. Whenever a Toon deals damage to a Cog, the Cog's aggro towards that Toon will increase by however much damage was done. For example, if a Toon were to use a Birthday Cake on a Cog and hit, they would gain 130 points of aggro, resulting in a 131/134 chance for the Cog to target them and a 1/134 chance for every other Toon to be targeted. Cogs retain their aggro towards each Toon across multiple rounds, and is not cleared unless the Toon leaves the battle and comes back. Trap gags only increase aggro once the Trap is activated. Toon-Up and Lure gags do not increase aggro. Combo damage is not considered while calculating aggro.
Other Attacks
Signature Attacks
Signature Cog attacks are moves that are only used by one Cog and are normally, but not always, more powerful compared to other attacks used by said Cog. For example, Head Shrink is exclusively used by the Head Hunter. Some Manager Bosses have signature Cog attacks as well (different from cheats), such as Re-Arrange, which is used by the Major Player.
Boss Attacks
C.O.G.S. Bosses have their own sets of attacks that they are able to use during the final round of their fights. These attacks can usually be predicted in advance based on the Boss's movements, sound cues, or attack indicators that may appear above the Toon's head. An example of this is the jumping attack from the Senior Vice President. The V.P. jump into the air and land on the ground, dealing damage to any Toons that are not in the air when the V.P. lands. Toons will see an exclamation point above their head prior to his jump, warning them to be ready to dodge.
Trivia
- Not all attack statistics are increased as a Cog increases in level.
- For example, the Glad Hander's weaker attacks are given less frequency and accuracy, while his stronger attacks have more.
- Some Cogs have lost their signature attacks before, becoming normal attacks once they are given to different Cogs.
- For example, the Loan Shark's Chomp was his signature attack before the introduction of the Litigator who received this attack.
