Art of the Deep Diver from an official Twitter comic.
The Deep Diver is a Boardbot Manager Boss who was introduced as part of the Hires & Heroes Update. She can be found roaming the streets of Barnacle Boatyard. She was first revealed during the cogs.ink ARG.
Toons fighting against the Deep Diver will have Content Sync applied to them. They will be synced down to the following stats:

The Deep Diver has a maximum Lure Resistance of 1 round.
The Deep Diver dives into the ground and cures all of her debuffs, with Toons not being able to damage her for as long as she stays underground. Trap Gags can still be placed down on her but another Cog must be present in battle to be allowed to use any Gags. This cheat occurs every round that the Deep Diver is not otherwise using Dive, unless a promoted Executive Cog was defeated during a previous Dive, in which case the cheat's activation will be delayed by 1 turn.
After destroying the promoted Cog (or after 1 round of Dive if there was never a Cog promoted), the Deep Diver will jump out of her Dive state and perform a grand slam, dealing 7 damage to all Toons.

Track | "Should I bring this Gag to this fight?" | "Should I Prestige it?" | "How many Toons should bring it?" |
Toon-Up |
With the low damage output from both side Cogs and the Deep Diver, Toon-Up isn't the most essential to bring in this fight (and can entirely be skipped out on should your team be capable of taking her down fast enough).
Rating: 2/3 Stars |
Has some good value due to the extra round of Cheer. The extra healing on self-heal also provides a nice bonus as it makes mitigating the relatively small damage output from the Deep Diver fairly easy to deal with.
Rating: 2/3 Stars |
1-2 Toons |
Trap |
Much less useful compared to other tracks in this fight. Can be used to effectively deal some damage to promoted Executives, but falls a bit short to more effective Lure/Throw and Squirt/Zap combos. Mostly good for dealing easy damage to the Deep Diver and giving a stun to Lure for when a Cog is about to be promoted.
Rating: 1/3 Stars |
Prestige Trap's damage boost is useful for dealing more damage to both the Deep Diver and the promoted Cog. Since the promoted Cog is always a Level 7.exe, a Prestige Springboard and a Prestige Bowling Ball are enough to kill them.
Rating: 2/3 Stars |
1 Toon |
Lure |
One of the most effective ways to deal with promoted Executives as it can Lure them prior to being promoted, allowing for an immediate guaranteed kill with 3 Throws.
Rating: 3/3 Stars |
Doesn't open up anything new for dealing with side Cogs. Only take this prestige if you intend on using Throw as a main damage dealer towards the Deep Diver.
Rating: 1/3 Stars |
1-4 Toons |
Throw |
A good damage dealer towards the Deep Diver, but mainly shines as one of the most effective ways of taking down promoted Executives.
Rating: 3/3 Stars |
Prestige Throw brings self-healing when hit on any Cog. Despite its inconsiderable self-heal amount, it is more useful to prestige Throw than Toon-Up due to the Prestige duality: Damage and healing.
Rating: 2/3 Stars |
3-4 Toons |
Squirt |
Highly recommended to carry this due to how useful Soak is in just about every fight in the game.
Rating: 3/3 Stars |
With the low Content Sync, this prestige has no value in this fight due to the extremely low increases in Splash damage.
Rating: 0/3 Stars |
1-2 Toons |
Zap |
One of the two most effective ways of dealing with side Cogs while the Deep Diver is submerged. 3 Broken Radios will more often than not be enough to completely wipe an entire set of Cogs. Can also be good for securing a kill on the Deep Diver while she's at low HP.
Rating: 3/3 Stars |
Due to the low Content Sync, this prestige provides little value due to the lacking damage increases and doesn't open up anything new. Only recommended if you intend on using Zap as a heavy damage dealer towards the Deep Diver.
Rating: 0/3 Stars |
2-4 Toons |
Sound |
Generally outshined by other means of dealing with side Cogs in this fight. Mainly effective if you choose to completely forgo allowing Cogs to promote as all Cogs can be taken down at once with this strategy.
Rating: 1/3 Stars |
Can be useful if you are following the strategy to not allow Cogs to promote as you will generally be using Sound much more and will need to deal much more damage in a single round as you will not be getting the extra round to hit the Deep Diver.
Rating: 1/3 Stars |
0 Toons/3-4 Toons |
Drop |
Highly recommended to bring this track to this fight due to the high damage output it has. Overall the best main source of damage towards the Deep Diver. Can be effective at dealing with promoted Executives, but it is outshined by other more effective means of dealing with them.
Rating: 3/3 Stars |
Can be effective at speeding up the fight, but is by no means required to take down the Deep Diver in a swift manner.
Rating: 2/3 Stars |
3-4 Toons |
The Deep Diver has the potential to be a rather slow progressing fight, as Toons have to consistently deal with Dive and the possible promoted Cog in the process. All while attacking the Deep Diver outside of those rounds. There are two main ways to deal with the Deep Diver:
A very easy way to defeat the Deep Diver in 4 turns is as follows:
Assuming all Gags hit the Deep Diver will be defeated by this point, leaving any remaining Cogs to be cleaned up.
