Fishing
Fishing is an activity Toons can choose to do during their leisure time. The objective is to fish in every Playground and street to complete one's Fishing Collection.
While Fishing, players can:
- Unlock a new achievement for every 10 unique species caught.
- Earn Jellybeans for each individual fish caught.
- Earn additional Laff Points (7 in total).
In order to fish, players must find a fishing spot either in a Playground or on a Playground street. To begin fishing, the player needs to walk onto a dock. There are at least 4 available at each location. There is a 45 second timer that begins as soon as a Toon steps onto the dock. If the Toon does not cast their reel before the timer is up, they will be removed from the dock.
Toons must cast their reel and have their bobber land on one of the moving shadows in the water to catch a fish. Landing on the shadow guarantees catching either a fish, an Old Boot, or a jar of Jellybeans. Toons do not need to recast their line if they miss the shadow - if the shadow moves over to the bobber it will still count as a catch. Casting requires a certain number of Jellybeans to be spent depending on which Fishing Rod the Toon is using. Once a fish is caught, it will show an animation of the fish, the species, the weight, the value, and the rarity.
While fishing, it will show the player's current pocket Jellybean number, a bucket with the number of fish that have been caught, and a Fish Bingo board. When the bucket is full, it must be emptied at either the nearby Fisherman, who will deliver it to the Pet Shop, or you can sell it directly to the Pet Shop. Whichever option is used will give the same number of Jellybeans. The bucket can be viewed in detail, showing what fish were caught and the total profit of the bucket, by either talking to one of the previously mentioned sources or through the Shtickerbook Activities page. The Fish Bingo board is a for-fun activity that can be done while fishing for the chance to win additional Jellybeans.
Fishing Level Bar
Toons gain experience as they fish. A Toon earns 1 additional Laff point for every 10 levels reached, to a maximum Fishing level of 70, for a total of 7 Laff points to be earned.
Experience is granted based on the rarity and weight of fish caught, according to this equation:
(2 * rarity * weight)2 + (5 * rarity * weight))
- Fish Rarities
- Cod Do Better
- Common
- Finteresting
- Rare
- Very Rare
- Reel-y Rare
- Trouta This World
- You're Piranha Roll!
The experience needed for each level is the same needed as overall Toon Experience. Toons gain an additional 25% fishing experience during Activi-Tuesday.

The total EXP needed to reach max level is 1,859,550 EXP. Once the max level is reached, the fishing level bar shown in the Activities tab of the Shtickerbook will display the word MAX on the bar. It will also reward the player with a gold trinket of a Boot that is displayed underneath all of the activity EXP bars.
The Brrrgh is widely regarded as one of the best places to fish due to the uniqueness and weight of the fish in comparison to other Playgrounds, making it a great way to earn a large amount of Fishing experience quickly. It also has a smaller pond that makes it easier to reach all of the fish.
Upgrading Fishing Equipment
By default, players have a Cardboard rod and a bucket which can hold up to 20 fish. Upgrades are available for each of these items. Upgrading the Fishing Rod will result in higher chances for catching rare fish and ultimately increases the number of Jellybeans that each fish can sell for. However, the cost to cast a line will require more Jellybeans. Upgrading the bucket will increase the number of fish that can be held at a time. To purchase these upgrades, the player must visit Edgar Allan Pole at The Tell-Tale Carp in Barnacle Boatyard.
Fishing Rods
In order to complete the Fishing Collection, players must upgrade their Fishing Rod, as some fish can only be caught using specific rods. Using more expensive rods commonly yields more higher rarity fish as well as higher numbers of Jellybeans if a jar is caught.
Toons can choose to use any Fishing Rod they own at any time by selecting it in their Shtickerbook.
Rod | Price (Jellybeans) | Weight limit (Pounds) | Cost per cast (Jellybeans) | Required fishing level | Fish Species able to be caught | Jellybean Jar Amount |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Cardboard | Default Rod | 0 - 4 | 1 | 0 | 38 | 10 |

Selecting a Fishing Rod
To change your Toon's fishing rod, open your Shtickerbook. Next, go to the tab titled "Items & Codes". This tab should open on the section "Profile". Click on the upper tab named "Items". This page contains the option to select which Cheesy Effect, Nametag Font, and the Fishing Rod your Toon is currently using. Use the arrows to select your Toon's Fishing Rod from the ones that you have unlocked.
Bucket Upgrades
Bucket upgrades increase the bucket capacity allowing the player to hold more fish in the bucket at once. This saves time by requiring less frequent trips to the Fisherman or the Pet Shop. Being quick with this can be especially valuable on Fish Bingo Wednesdays, when a full bucket can mean missing a Bingo.
Like Fishing Rods, players can buy bucket upgrades at The Tell-Tale Carp in the Barnacle Boatyard Playground. A Toon will be eligible to buy another upgrade to the fishing bucket every 8 fishing levels, but it is recommended that a Toon prioritize Fishing Rod upgrades first; bucket upgrades end up being quite expensive and only offer the benefit of saved trip time.
Upgrade | Capacity total | Cost (Jellybeans) | Required fishing level |
---|---|---|---|
1 | 30 | 500 | 8 |
2 | 40 | 1,000 | 16 |
3 | 50 | 1,500 | 24 |

Fish Bingo
When fishing at any location, a 5x5 space Bingo card can be seen at the bottom right corner of the screen. When a Toon catches a fish that is displayed on the Bingo card, all spaces with that fish will flash red. Clicking on a red flashing square will mark that square with a black Corporate Clash gear icon. If the Old Boot is caught, it will act as a wildcard, allowing any space on the Bingo card to be marked. Catching a Jellybean Jar will not count towards the bingo card in any way.
When a Bingo card has been completed, the "BINGO" button will begin to flash. It can be clicked by any Toon and all Toons at the fishing dock in the area will win the Jellybean prize shown on the card.
Most boards require all the white squares to be filled out. If there are gray squares, they do not count toward Bingo card completion, but will still flash red if the corresponding fish is caught. The only board that does not require all white squares to be filled is the Classic Bingo card. All Toons at a fishing dock within each area share a Bingo card, meaning that they can all see and mark the same card with Bingo markers, working together to win the Jellybean prize. The Bingo markers remain until the Jellybean prize is claimed or time runs out. The timer for each Bingo varies from as low as 150 seconds to up to 300 seconds. In either case, the game will end and a new board will spawn in 15 seconds, giving each player a chance to empty their bucket before starting another round.
There are currently 9 different boards available for Fish Bingo. The order in which each board appears is random.
Trophies
There are 7 trophies that can be awarded for fishing. Each trophy is rewarded after catching 10 new species of fish for a total of 7 trophies for 70 species. These trophies can be viewed by opening your Shtickerbook to the Activities tab and using the arrows to swap to the fishing section. From here, there is tab labelled "Trophies" that displays each trophy rewarded on a unique shelf. Each trophy rewards a certain amount of Fishing Activity Experience.

Flying Fish | 10,000 XP |
