Lawfices

Lawfices are located within Lawbot Headquarters to the left hand side, up the short stairs. There are four stone benches near the entrance to the lobby of that building. All Lawfices are currently located within this annex of the complex. Elevators are located on the left side of the building once you enter. The center of the building is a large atrium which has Cogs wandering and papers falling. At the end of each Lawfice Toons must face a Head Attorney. Currently, there are three different Lawfices:

  • Lawfice A113
  • Lawfice B221
  • Lawfice C418

These are used to build a Lawbot Cog Disguise and to quickly earn Patents for Lawbot Suit Promotions. Patents are unique to the Lawbots, as Toons are required to gather them in order to fight the Chief Legal Officer and earn a promotion.

Content Sync

Note: As of v1.3.1.9 Content Sync has been temporarily disabled in facilities.

Inside a Lawfice, Toons will have Content Sync applied to them. They will be synced down to the following stats:

  • 95 Laff Soft Cap (120 Max)
  • All Gags permitted
  • All rewards permitted

Patents

Patents are Lawbot Merits which are required to battle the Chief Legal Officer and earn a promotion for your Cog Disguise. Once your Lawbot Suit is maxed, you'll no longer need to obtain Patents in order to fight the C.L.O,.

Lawfice A113, B221, and C418 each have their own Patents Multiplier, with the more difficult Lawfices having a higher multiplier than the easier ones.

Lawfice Type Merit Multiplier Patents Average
Lawfice A113 x8 ~3000-4000
Lawfice B221 x10 ~5000-6400
Lawfice C418 x12 ~7250-9600

When completing a Cog Facility, the player will earn all Merits obtained from the battles as long as they defeat the Facility Manager. This means that players can choose to split up between battles (i.e: 2 Toons fight one battle while the other 2 fight another) and they will all earn both Merits from both fights, despite only being involved in one.

Lawbot Cog Disguise

The Lawbot Suit required to defeat the C.L.O. is earned by defeating the Head Attorney, which gives 1 Lawbot Suit part. Each Lawfice rewards different Suit parts. 5 parts are needed to complete the disguise:

  • Lawfices A - Defeating the Head Attorney earns Lawbot leg parts (2 in total).
  • Lawfices B - Defeating the Head Attorney earns Lawbot arm parts (2 in total).
  • Lawfices C - Defeating the Head Attorney earns the Lawbot chest part (only 1).

Lawfice A113

LawficeA113.png

This Lawfice is the shortest of the three with only 3 floors. Expect to receive around 3000 to 4000 Patents for completing it. There is a Gag XP multiplier of 4 within this facility.

Lawfice B221

This Lawfice is the average of the three with 4 floors. Expect to receive 5000 to 6000 Patents for completing it. The rooms you get can greatly alter the number of Patents earned: usually being ~1250 per floor, though sometimes reaching up to ~2500. There is a Gag XP multiplier of 5 within this facility.

Lawfice C418

This Lawfice is the longest of the three with 5 floors. Expect to receive 7000 to 9000 Patents for completing it. The rooms you get can greatly alter the number of Patents earned: usually being ~1450 per floor, though sometimes reaching up to ~2700. There is a Gag XP multiplier of 6 within this facility.

Rooms and Obstacles

The layout of one Lawfice floor consists of five unique rooms. Two of these are required to have Cogs, while the other two are puzzles that may or may not have Cogs in them. Once chosen, they will not be used for the remainder of the floor. Typical obstacles are security lights, Goons, and stompers. Security lights will deal 8-10 damage and stompers will deal 10 damage. Security Goons with blue helmets deal 25 damage, while Security Goons with purple helmets deal 15. Occasionally, Laff and Gag barrels will appear. Laff barrels heal +15-25 and Gag barrels reward up to Level 7 Gags.

LawficeEntrance.png

Upon entering the Lawfice, or a new floor, the first room will be the entrance.

There will be two Gag restock barrels on the left side wall upon entering. These carry Level 7 Gags.

LawficeRoom7.png
There will be two battles, one located at the front of the room and the other at the back. The first fight will consist of lower leveled Cogs while the second will consist of higher leveled Cogs. There are security lights on each path to the back of the room.

LawficeRoom3.png
Four purple Security Goons patrol this room with various stacked paper obstacles. The Goons can be stomped if a Toon tries running while jumping.

LawficeRoom8.png
There will be two puzzles, one on each side of the room. Both puzzles need to be completed to unlock the door to continue to the next room.

LawficeRoom6.png
Much like the previos room, there will be two puzzle games, one on each side with a switch which activates when the puzzle is completed. Both switches need to be completed to unlock the door to continue to the next room.

LawficeRoom12.png
A large room with 5 stompers, 4 of them surrounding a Gag restock barrel. A Laff barrel can be found above the stompers and another Gag restock barrel to the side of the rooms entrance. There are 4 security lights which sweep around each Gag restock barrels. Some floating platforms can be used to grab the high up Gag barrel by riding on top of the stompers.

LawficeRoom11.png
This room contains 7 purple Security Goons walking in a large open space. At the end of the room, there is a staircase leading to an upper area with 1 Cog battle. There are 3 disabled red Security Goons sitting around the area.

LawficeRoom14.png
Three blue Security Goons patrol this room. There is a simple maze, which can be completed by taking your first right, then turn left. There is an optional Cog battle in this room, containing Level 5 Cogs. A Gag restock barrel and a Laff barrel are behind the group of Cogs.

LawficeRoom9.png
Bookshelves separate 4 different groups of Cogs. There are also two Gag restock barrels located within this room adjacent to the optional Cog battle behind a box. This room can only be chosen once in the entire Lawfice facility.

LawficeRoom1.png
Several security lights surround the Stair Room in an "I" pattern.

LawficeRoom2.png

This room will have two Skelecog battles. The first one is located at the base of the first set of stairs and the second is at the top of the stairs.

LawficeStairRoomSkelecogMans.png

LawficeRoom10.png
This room has a large stomper with a platform behind it. Toons must reach the platform to get over the stacked boxes to reach the staircase. There is another stomper on the other side of the boxes as well as a security light. Going to the right will reveal another stomper with a Laff barrel.

LawficeRoom13.png
This room has a total of 18 stompers and 11 security lights. The entrance has a line of 4 large stompers. Each direction has two large stompers infront of it, leading into four smaller stompers and more security lights.

LawficeRoom4.png
This room starts diamond shaped with four lights located at the each side which sweep in a square formation. At the end of the room is a wall of bookshelves. There is a secret door which opens about every five seconds within the front middle of the arrangement. There is a thin horseshoe shaped space with another set of secret doors which run in a similar fashion on the sides of the inner walls, located directly underneath the far stompers.

LawficeRoom5.png
Two Gag barrels and a Jellybean barrel are located in the middle of the room with 8 security lights within the room. Four of them circle the barrels and 4 located at the end which sweep in a square formation.

LawficeRoomFinal.png
This is the final room of each floor. At the end of the Lawfice, the Head Attorney will be in the battle. Defeating the Head Attorney and completing the Lawfice will reward Toons with Patents, Gag Experience, and a Suit part if they can earn one.

Puzzles

VirtualSkelecogPuzzle.png

Some floors require puzzles to be completed before Toons can continue through the Lawfice. There are 7 different puzzles that can appear, each with unique solutions. It is possible for the same puzzle to show up multiple times. Solving a puzzle will heal every Toon +5-10 Laff if possible. Failing a puzzle will result in 4 Virtual Skelecogs to appear and will automatically battle the Toons. Defeating these Cogs rewards no Gag XP or Patents.

Trapper.png
This game is similar to the arcade classic "Tapper". Four TNT symbols are located at the bottom of the board. Once the game starts, numbers will start at the top and begin to fall. Stepping on the TNT tile will reduce the number by 1. The goal is to prevent any numbers from reaching the bottom. Once Toons defeat 9 numbers, the puzzle will deactivate.

ConnectThree.png
This game is similar to Hasbro's "Connect Four!". Toons battle against an AI to see which person is able to connect three circles faster than the other. Toons have the green circles while the AI has red circles. If Toons can get three in a row before the AI does, the puzzle deactivates.

MatchingPuzzle.png
This game is a five by five grid of tiles which are either green squares or red triangles along with a line of skulls which will fail the game if stepped on. The goal of the game is to turn all of the tiles to a single shape. You can toggle between the two shapes by stepping on and off of the title.

DragThree.png
A six by six board with a top border of skulls is present with twelve tokens placed on it; four red triangles, four green squares, four blue diamonds. The goal is to match three tokens in a row to remove the set. Once the three sets of tokens are cleared from the board the game is completed. Matching a set will remove all corresponding tokens of that set from the board. Toons can step on them to move them around, but they cannot pass each other.

SkullFinder.png

This is a seven by seven game of Minesweeper. Despite the name, the goal of the game is to clear a path to the button while avoiding stepping on one of the hidden skulls. As a courtesy, the first row will never contain a skull. Stepping on a red tile will reveal what is underneath. It can be blank, a skull, or a number.

If a number appears, this tells the player how many of the adjacent tiles contain skulls. This accounts for both cardinal and diagonal tiles. Players can use this information to infer where a skull is. For example, if a 1 is diagonally touching only one covered tile, with other possible positions being blank/numbers, this confirms that the covered tile is in fact a skull. Using that information, you can look at adjacent numbers to deduce where an opening lies.

AvoidTheSkulls.png
An eight by eight board is presented to the players with the goal of the Toon reaching the other side to enable the switch without stepping on a skull. Each title will cycle through being empty, small square, or a skull. A small square indicates where a skull will be next cycle.

SimonSays.png
A five by five board is presented to the players, with the correct pattern to input cycling near the top of the grid. Pressing the blue refresh tile will cause the pattern to cycle again. A Toon is required to input the pattern shown exactly, and once they begin they cannot refresh to see the pattern again. Inputting an incorrect tile will fail the game.

Trivia

  • The numbers for each Lawfice are specific references:
    • A113 is a long-running Disney/Pixar inside joke referring to a classroom in CalArts used by animation students.
    • B221 is a standard for aluminum, and Sherlock Holmes's address number is 221B.
    • C418 is the composer and sound designer of the sandbox game Minecraft.
  • Connect Three, Trapper, and Simon Says are the only new Puzzles designed by the Corporate Clash Crew, while the rest are from Toontown Online.
  • Connect Three used to have a bug where the AI would sometimes win if both the AI and the Toon would have gotten three in a row at the same time.
    • Now, the Toon will always win.
  • Prior to an unknown update, Cogs used to roam the higher floors in the central annex of the Lawfice Lobby. They were non interactable since there was no way to go up.
  • Prior to the v1.6.0 update, there were the Faculty Entrances located on the right side of the Lawfice Lobby. They were no different than the standard Lawfice elevators beyond the different names.
  • When Lawfices are required for tasks, they will use the elevator as its icon.
    • Prior to the 1.2 update, it would've previously use the District Attorney's building as the icon.
  • Multiple textures found in the Lawfices have encoded text that contain humorous messages.
    • Some filing cabinets have papers taped on their sides, which have morse code that read "Memo - seven is the best number seven is the best number" and "Notice - we are out of peanuts in the breakroom"
    • Encoded text can be found on large bound stacks of paper, as well as on the falling papers in the Lawfice central annex and C.L.O. cannon round. It can be decoded with a rotation cipher by shifting the letters backwards alphabetically by 7.
Decoded Document Text ‎
"If cogs had anything confidential to say, they wrote it in cipher, that is, by so changing the order of the letters of the alphabet, that not a word could be made out. The author of this memo hopes that the toons out there don't know how to decipher this text. If a toon figures out how to read this message, they're probably not a toon, anyway. They're probably a cog in disguise or something. Maybe even a goon. Anyways, I write to inform the cog reading this about the whereabouts of cog nation, which is now officially located next to"
