Screen Overlays were a video setting that would apply a screen filter over the 3d game world. This setting could be toggled in the Video section of the Options page in the Shtickerbook. It was removed in the v1.10.0 Update. This setting had 8 different filters to choose from, being augusta, bloomy, dark, dramatic, contrast, monochrome, moody, and pop. These filters would cause multiple visual issues.

Bugs
As mentioned earlier, enabling a screen filter caused a multitude of visual issues. Some of them have been documented below:
Misc.
- When Screen Overlays are used, many objects that are color-coded in-game will have said color missing. This can be noticed with Cogs' health meters and hands, appearing completely white, and some other niche cases like Nametags.
- Most if not all particle effects would display incorrectly, showing the entire palette for the texture they existed on.
- Screen Overlays will completely disable environmental fog effects such as those in Barnacle Boatyard, The Brrrgh, Drowsy Dreamland, Estates or Bossbot Headquarters.
- Due to this bug, Screen Overlays are disabled in the Rainmaker fight to prevent bypassing the mechanics of the Fog Weather Phase.
- Opera Singer particles would display incorrectly with Screen Overlays.
- The High Roller's Hat accessory would display in completely solid colors.

Manager-Related Bugs
- The Cog Sigils for Manager battles will not be animated.
- If Screen Overlays are used in the Pacesetter fight, effects that are used to display the Pacesetter moving fast such as during parts of the opening cutscene or the entirety of Overclocked will lose all of their transparency. Additionally, Rush Job arrows will lack any color.
- The Plutocrat's market bubble is completely solid and lacks any color.
- The end credits in the Major Player battle will have its darkened filter removed.
- High Roller instance:
- The Rainmaker could be seen in the High Roller's fight with her entire face being grayed out.
- The light particle effect that appears behind High Roller after fusing in the opening cutscene will remain in place.
- The darkened filter applied in phases 2 & 3 will be removed.
- The silhouettes in phase 3 will have their color missing.
- High Roller's suit will not turn black during his phase 3 intro cutscene.
