Specialist Cogs

Specialist Cogs are special Cogs that will do either do more damage or have more health. They are categorized as either Operations Analysts or Field Specialists. They were first introduced in the v1.1.0 update with the release of the Lawbot Cog redesigns.

Currently, Specialist Cogs exist only as Lawbots. As such, they can be found in the streets, Lawbot Cog Buildings, Lawbot HQ Courtyard, Lawfices, and the Chief Legal Officer boss fight. They can also spawn as Executives. Specialist Cogs only range from Tier 2 to Tier 7.

Field Specialists

Field Specialists have less health and -10 Cog Defense, but tend to deal more damage.

Their health is calculated through the formula: $n(n+1)+1$

Operations Analysts

Operation Analysts have more health and +10 Cog Defense compared to normal Cogs of its level, but generally deal less damage.

v1.8.2 BETA

• Lawbot Specialist Cogs now have the same chance to spawn as other Lawbots, increasing their availability throughout the streets and instance battles.

• Cogs and Skelecogs now sport new high-quality models, fixing many visual issues with their old models and bringing their visual quality up-to-par with modern standards.
• Cog Summons for Specialist Cogs removed.

v1.2.1 BETA

• Tweaked and added more encounter and brush-off phrases to Lawbot specialist Cogs.
  • The only known tweak to these encounter phrases is Barrister's bear-related phrases being edited out and replaced.

• Fixed an issue preventing Lawbot Specialists from spawning on Streets and HQs.

v1.1.4.1 BETA

• Rebalanced the Barrister and Shyster attacks to make them more fitting of their roles as Field Specialists.
  • Barrister's min-max damage increased from 10-32 to 11-38.
  • Shyster min-max damage increased from 7-30 to 13-32.
  • Accuracies for all of their attacks have been adjusted.

v1.1.1 BETA

• Toons have a chance to receive Cog Summons for Operations Analyst and Field Specialist Cogs.

v1.1.0 BETA

• There are now six new types of Lawbots, with each being either a Field Specialist (Attack) or Operations Analyst (Defense).
  • This brings the total number of main-line Lawbot cogs to 14.
  • Attack Cogs deal higher damage but have lower health and dodge chance, while Defense Cogs deal less damage with a higher health and dodge chance.
  • These specialized cogs have a chance to be sent out in place of regular Lawbots, so watch out!

Trivia

• It is implied that the other departments will receive Specialist Cogs as a Blog Post mentioned with the next department revamp there would be no Specialist Cogs added yet.
• Because of their late introduction to Corporate Clash, Specialist Cogs do not show up in the main taskline.
  • They do, however, show up in certain Sidetasks and Kudos Rank-Up tasks.
• A level 7 Executive Operations Analyst is the only Cog level that matches the health pool of a regular Cog. In this case, they match with a regular level 10 Cog.
• A Field Specialist is a professional specialized in providing skilled and quality technical services on the field.
• An Operations Analyst is someone who identifies and fixes internal problems as well as develop and implement robust strategies that can help in achieving company goals.
