Training Points
Training Points are used for unlocking Gag Tracks and to Prestige a Gags. A Toon can gain a maximum of 12 training points; 11 from leveling up, and 1 from maxing all four Department Levels. A Training Point is given at Toon Levels 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 28, 38, 48, 58, 68, and 78.
Using Training Points
To use Training Points, go to the Gags & Training page of the Shtickerbook and click the Gag Training tab at the top of the page. This page will show you what Gag Tracks you have and which are Prestige, as well as how many Training Points you have left to use. When there are available Training Points to use, the Gag Training tab will flash orange.
Unlocking Gag Tracks
To unlock a Gag Track, a player must have 2 Training Points available. Each Track not already unlocked will have a blue unlock button. Once this button is pressed, a prompt will appear explaining the functions of the Gag Track and the cost, as well as whether or not you would like to go through with the decision.
Refunding Gag Tracks
To refund a Gag Track, a player must select the red "Refund Tracks" button and then select the Gag Track they would like to refund. Players must have at least 6 Training Points total (2 Training Points in addition to 2 unlocked Gag Tracks) in order to refund a Gag Track, as it is required to have at least 2 Gag Tracks at all times. After clicking to refund the Track, it will trigger a similar prompt to unlocking a Track, but inform the player that the Track will be removed. All Gag Experience earned in this Track will be preserved, meaning if the Track is later unlocked again, it will still have its previous progress. Refunding a Gag Track costs nothing and will refund the Training Points previously needed to unlock the Gag Track. If Gags were purchased for a Track, and the Track was refunded, the Gags will not be retained and no Jellybeans will be refunded.
Prestige a Gag Track
To Prestige a Gag Track, a player must have 1 Training Point available. Once a Gag Track has been unlocked, the unlock button will be replaced with a purple "Prestige" button. Pressing this button will give a prompt explaining what the Prestige will do and for the player to confirm their decision. After a Track has been made Prestige, the star icon next to the track will fill. The star icon indicates that the Track is Prestige and can be seen on the main Gag page as well.
To un-Prestige a Gag Track, select the red Unprestige button and confirm your decision. This will not effect any Gags you have purchased of this Gag Track. After un-Prestiging a Track, a Training Point will be refunded.
Gag Builds
Toons can optimize their use of Training Points to find the proper balance between which Gag Tracks to own and which to Prestige. Gag setups are usually conveyed as a number ratio (Gag Tracks/Prestige amount). Players do not need to use all Training Points available to them, though it is recommended to use them all in most cases. The following are some possible setups using all the training points a player might own:
- Gag setups with 11 training points:
- 5 Gag Tracks, 5 Prestiges (5/5)
- 6 Gag Tracks, 3 Prestiges (6/3)
- 7 Gag Tracks, 1 Prestige (7/1)
- Gag setups with all 12 training points:
- 6 Gag Tracks, 4 Prestiges (6/4)
- 7 Gag Tracks, 2 Prestiges (7/2)
- 8 Gag Tracks, 0 Prestiges (8/0)
Accessibility Features
While on the Gag Training page of the Shtickerbook, players can click the Exclamation Point button next to the Gag icons to get a description on how that Gag Track and its Prestige effect works.
A prompt will appear each time an adjustment is made to a Gag build. This can be turned off if the player selects "Yes, and Do Not Show Again" when it appears. This option can always be turned back on by opening the Options page of the Shtickerbook and looking under the Accessibility tab. All prompts have to be turned off or all prompts have to turned on.
With easy to adjust builds, this allows players to adapt to different fights or instances that may recommend certain Gag Tracks, as well as let the player be able to test which Tracks they enjoy the most.
Gag Builds and Training Points cannot be adjusted in Cog Buildings and Cog Facilities, despite being able to access the Shtickerbook. Attempting to do so will result in a notification telling you these actions can't be done.
