Sound
Sound is a Gag Track used by Toons in Cog Battles. Sound Gags are Support Gags that deal low damage and target all Cogs present in battle. Sound is the seventh track in the Gag order, going after Zap and before Drop in a turn.
Sound Mechanics
- Sound targets all Cogs in battle. Its damage is not split, meaning each Cog takes the full amount regardless of how many are in battle.
- ENCORE : When Sound hits, it grants the user the
Encore buff on the following round.
Encore gives Gags a 10% damage boost (rounded up).
Encore works with any Gag, including Sound itself.
- WINDED : Using Sound while
Encore is active inflicts
Winded for the next two rounds.
Winded reduces Sound's damage by 50%.
Encore and
Winded are only applied if Sound successfully hits.
- ACCURACY : Sound has a base accuracy of 95%
Prestige![]()
After unlocking Sound, Toons can allot one more Training Point into the Gag Track to Prestige it. Prestige Sound gains the following effect:
- ENCORE : Prestige Sound's
Encore grants a 20% damage boost to the next Gag (increased from 10%).

Strategy
General
- Given its low damage, Sound should typically be used with multiple other Sound Gags in a turn.
- Sound finds great use in Cog Buildings, Cog Facilities, and Cog Boss battles, where Toons face off against multiple sets of Cogs.
- In Boss battles, Toons should reserve Sound for sets of Cogs that it can easily clear, with Cogs of relative health values.
- If one Cog in the set has a much higher health value than the rest, Toons can opt for using 3 Sound and one other Gag to finish the Cog off (e.g. Drop).
- In Cog Facilities, status effects are cleared between Cog sets. This allows Sound to be used extensively without drawbacks (i.e.
Winded).
- It's generally discouraged to use Sound with
Encore, as it inflicts
Winded.
- However, this may be recommended if the damage boost allows Sound to clear a set of high health Cogs, or if your group doesn't plan on using Sound the following rounds.
Managers
- Sound's usefulness in Manager battles varies drastically per Manager Boss. Refer to each Manager's strategy section on their respective page for more info.
Sound Tables
- The following tables assume all Sound Gags are neither Encore boosted nor Winded.

Specialist Cogs
Sound Training
Training Sound requires Toons to hit Cogs with Sound Gags to gain experience points in the track.
Training Strategies: When training Sound, your best bet is training inside a Cog Building, making use of their high experience multipliers. Given its low damage--which can be brought down even further via
Winded--Sound can be used extensively in a single building to gain lots of experience. When using this strategy, you'll want at least one other Toon with you and Toon-Up, as you'll be taking large amounts of damage from Cogs.
Gaining more experience will increase a Sound Gag's damage, up until you reach the next level Sound Gag. The experience granted is equivalent to the Gag's level (e.g. a Foghorn gives 7 XP), which can be further boosted through various means. For more information on Gag training and experience, see here:

Trivia
- Sound is the only Gag that can inflict Toons with a debuff (Winded).
- While Encore is active, the Toon will have a Bugle circling around them. Toons with Prestige Sound will have two Bugles circling them.
- When Cogs are defeated by Opera Singer, they'll use a unique defeat animation where their heads explode.
- Visually, Cogs recoil then quickly regain composure when hit by Sound Gags. The animation changes slightly depending on what type of tie they have.
