O.C.L.O.: Class Action
O.C.L.O.: Class Action is an upcoming feature to Toontown: Corporate Clash that aims to add an even more challenging version of the Overclocked Chief Legal Officer battle. Partner playtests for this gamemode began on November 20th, 2025. There is no release date for this update currently.
v2.0.0
v2.0.0 is the next major update to be released for Toontown: Corporate Clash. The release date for this update is unknown. The update aims to create a unified Toon Inventory System, update Toon Estates, and introduce new General Stores to the game.[1]
Hammerspace
Hammerspace is one of the new major additions coming in v2.0.0. This feature serves as a new form of inventory for Toons, allowing them to easily access all Clothing and Accessories, Profile Components, Stickers, and any other collectibles in the game.[2]
- Note: Foil Stickers are a proof of concept and likely won't be implemented. However, there have been internal discussions of adding new cosmetic loot.[3]
Toons
Toons will get some adjustments in this update.
- This update involves a lot of adjustments to the coding for Toon models, which will improve the way they work, potentially allowing for decreased lag in game when there are multiple players present.[4] It is said that Toon loading will be sped up by 5x.[5]
- New body groups for accessories beyond the basic hats/glasses/backpacks/shoes will be capable with the addition of Mix-and-Match such as neck slots for accessories like scarves.[6]
- Accessories will now use locators to determine their body grouping instead of distinguished sections. It is said the new body grouping will be akin to Team Fortress 2's equip regions.[7]
- Toons will be able to wear up to three hats.[5]
Estates
Estates will be getting a revamp in this update, with emphasis on social and customizable options.[5][8]
Confirmed additions:
- Toons will be able to purchase more interiors or exteriors as they wish and can connect them together via hallways or doors.
- Toons will be able to link their Estates together by purchasing Gateway Tickets, which will allow two doors or hallways to link together allowing for travel between both Estates.
- Toons will be able to purchase new Estate Kits which come bundled with specific interior and exterior areas. Some Estate Kits will also include furniture.
- The current Estate layout will be available as the default Estate Kit.
- The Cattlelog will be replaced with the General Store system.[8]
- A public Estates "phonebook" allowing Toons to make their Estate visitable by any other Toons.
- Estates will have new interior and exterior models.
- There will be a new furniture placement editor.
- New furniture will be added.[5]
Possible additions:
- Progression elements added to Estates.[5]
General Stores
General Stores are one of the new major additions being added in the v2.0.0 Update. These stores will be found in every playground serving as replacements for both the Cattlelog and the Clothing Shop.[8] Some notes about General Stores are as follows:
- These stores will sell everything including Clothing, Furniture, and SpeedChat Phrases.[8]
- Each store will have their own vendor with their own wonderful and wacky personalities, all having their own stories to tell.
- These stores will receive a new UI allowing for easier shopping. Items will also be directly placed in Toons' inventories now.
- The Tell-Tale Carp will also receive this new UI.
- Certain items will get discounts around certain holidays. Items will also be discounted if the vendor feels like it.
- A few new Specialist Stores will be added where only specific items will be sold.
- One of these stores is teased to include a well-loved character reprising their role as a vendor.[8]
- General stores will have multiple floors.[11]
- One of the Shopkeepers of the general stores will use a wheelchair. This Shopkeeper also uses xey/xem/xeir pronouns.[11]
- A new record-shaped building with an owner that has "a pretty neat taste in fashion AND music!" and "bumps batty baselines" has been teased. This owner wears a Machine Toon (Machine Girl reference) outfit and uses he/him pronouns.[11]
- A music tracked for an upcoming store's interior composed by Duke Trickyflip
Deconfirmed Additions
The following things have been confirmed NOT to be releasing in v2.0.0:
- Boardbot HQ[2]
- Overclocked C.F.O.[2]
- The Mix-and-Match system (though some of the features planned for it, such as accessory body groups, will still ship with v2.0.0).[5]
Gears and Gizmos
Gears and Gizmos (or GaG for short) is aimed at introducing major changes and increased variety to Corporate Clash's battle system.[11] Gears and Gizmos could release with the v2.0.0 Hammerspace Update if it's finished in time, though this is highly unlikely. Otherwise, it will likely release not too long after.[3]
Mix-and-Match
The Mix-and-Match update will completely overhaul Toon species, including their appearance, animations, and customizability. This update will not be released with v2.0.0 and will continue its development sometime after 2.0's release.[5]
The Mix-and-Match Machine
The Mix-and-Match Machine is the defining feature of the Mix-and-Match update. This feature brings with it animated Toon heads and allows for much more freedom with Toon customization, allowing players to freely mix and match parts from multiple different species when creating their Toon.[4] Some additional notes about Mix-and-Match are as follows:
- A variety of new Toon parts are planned to be added in addition to the current ones such as hair.[6]
- New "inorganic" Toon parts are being added as well as standard parts. These parts will be much rarer than normal parts and will be obtained from places such as events, the Cattlelog, or as boss drops.[6]
- Like other updates to Make a Toon, free Redraws will be available when the update releases.[12]
- The Laff Meter's and noises for Toons will potentially be able to be customized in the same way as the models.[12]
Taskline Revamp
A brand new Taskline is being constructed. It will revisit how ToonTasks are presented to make them more engaging. This is stated to be a "full redo" of the game's experience.[13] The Taskline Revamp has been shelved and will not resume development until the team is confident the story will not need to be continuously rewritten.[3]
Details about the Taskline revamp were discussed in the "Backstage Corporate Clash: Writing Team Q&As!" Blogpost. Notable information includes:
- Break The Law and its characters will likely become part of the new main campaign in a new, re-imagined way.[13]
- Certain events, like The Last Stand, will likely not occur in the new narrative.[13]
- The Chief Justice is no longer canon in Corporate Clash.[13]
- The Regional Managers will be far better integrated into the main campaign.[13]
- Toons will have much more presence in the story of Corporate Clash.[13]
Upcoming Events
Regarding events, the Clash Crew will only be working on 0-1 events per year. This means that any future events will be reruns of past events with little changes between the years. New events will be introduced or will replace past events if they determine that they are a better fit for the game.[12]
- There is interest in bringing back Count Erclaim in the future, as he was actually planned to be apart of the Halloween 2025 event.[14]
Other Upcoming Content
The content listed in this section has no known updates tied to them and is currently unknown when or if it will be released.
Development Priorities
- The team will focus more on developing small, passion-driven projects. Due to this, developing the v2.0.0 update will take more of a backseat.[3]
- The team is willing add or change battle-related content in updates before v2.0.0's release.
Makeship Campaign Rewards
- The Duck Shuffler Comic from the Makeship Duck Shuffler Plushie campaign. The comic's script is fully written and artwork is almost complete.[3]
- There are plans to add rewards from the Firestarter and Pacesetter Plush stretch goal tiers that were not reached (Firestarter and Pacesetter In-game Accessories, Firestarter and Pacesetter Comic), though this will be at a later date while other features are prioritized.[15]
- The Firesetter comic will begin production after the Duck Shuffler comic is complete and the artists have been given an ample break.[3]
Miscellaneous
- The Dividend King and Crystalline are both stated to be upcoming hires to C.O.G.S. Inc. They were revealed in the 2023 version of the Chief Operating Officer battle.
- Various new radio themes can be heard in the C.O.O. fight, which usually tease upcoming content.
- More spaces for purchasable SpeedChat messages will be added.[16]
- Cog Facilities and Cog Department Bosses will eventually get their own dedicated reworks (apart from changes in the Gears and Gizmos update). However, this will not come out for a long while.[3]
"Shelved" Content
- Doodles will be returning at some point in the future.[17] Currently, the team is unsure what they'll do with Doodles.[3]
- There were plans to rework Toon movement, removing turning, strafing, and backpedaling, which can be seen here.[6] This functionality was put on hold, but may be implemented some point in the future.[3]
- The HUD will receive a revamp, aiming to reduce and change elements that block large portions of the screen.[5]
- Building load-in animations on streets were planned to get a bouncy new visual. However, this feature was extremely buggy and has been shelved.[3]
- Battle animations for Toons are largely being sped up, Toons will use most Gag Tracks in rapid succession of each other.[12] This will consider the effects it currently has on battles such as the Pacesetter, where the battle is naturally fast.[16]
- This was originally planned for v2.0.0, but has been pushed back to allow the team to focus on Hammerspace as well as other more important aspects of the update.[8]

About Other Updates and the Direction of Future Updates
Well, that's nearly all we have to say about Gears and Gizmos at this time. At this point in the blog post, you may be feverishly itching to know about the status of Mix N' Match, the status of the Taskline revamp, and the general direction we're going with updates after our recent team restructuring.
We're going to answer a lot of questions here, starting with Mix N' Match and the Taskline revamp. First, let's rewind for a bit. Mix N' Match and the Taskline revamp were announced coming off the heels of High Roller's development, when the team had much more steam and a much more optimistic view of how much work could be accomplished at once. As such, the team felt confident in announcing these projects, even when there wasn't much progress on either of them yet. As you can imagine, juggling Hammerspace code reworks, the Estate revamp, GaG, the Taskline revamp, and Mix N' Match all at once, on top of minor updates, was too much for the team. It swiftly led to burnout, and passion was fading fast. Thus, projects had to be delayed, downscoped, slowed down, or even shelved. Mix N' Match and the Taskline revamp slowed down in development significantly, and they eventually came to a complete halt to allow more focus on other projects. Needless to say, there's so much that we want to do for the game we love and the community we love, but we need to acknowledge our limits.
Circumstances have changed recently, so is there anything new to say for Mix N' Match and the Taskline revamp? Regarding the Taskline revamp, we are very sorry to deliver more disappointing news, but the Taskline revamp is being shelved for now. With the numerous upcoming combat changes, inventory changes, and more, we do not want to revise our story drastically only to need to do it again once other projects finish. While plot work and details have been decided for a future date, the revamp will likely not resume until we are confident that the story will not need to be rewritten over and over to accommodate new combat and character additions. We know many of you were looking forward to this project, and for that, we sincerely apologize. In the meantime, we have plans for new additions to our story that we hope you will enjoy as they release.
For Mix N' Match, things are looking more positive. We are interested in picking up work again for Mix N' Match in the coming months! At the moment, we don't have anything new to share for Mix N' Match, other than that it made some notable progress with the things we've talked about in the past before its work was paused. We are still eager as ever to bring new life to the Toons, and we look forward to showing more things from Mix N' Match in the future.
Regarding the general direction of future updates, we're echoing what we stated in our previous blog post - we're looking for a better balance between content that's good for game health, content that the community wants, and content that we, the Clash Crew, are motivated to work on. To maintain the well-being of our crew, we will also continue to avoid giving release dates to the public until we are sure enough that we can do what's needed by those dates. We decided as a team that Hammerspace will be taking more of a backseat (Gears and Gizmos was already a lower priority), and we're shifting more of our focus to smaller, passion-driven projects. Of course, this isn't to say that we haven't already shipped smaller updates with appreciated features for the past few years; we'll just be focusing more on them than previously. Starting in May and for a couple months after, we brainstormed more smaller, lower-stakes things we can accomplish to help upkeep the game's freshness and everyone's morale. We are excited for more smaller wins like the street tweaks we previewed a little while ago to reach you in the future!
For a long while, we were also very conservative about adding or making changes to permanent battle content in order to focus more on Hammerspace and other smaller projects. With how long this philosophy was held though, since battle content has a large presence in Corporate Clash, many in the community felt that Corporate Clash was getting increasingly stale. As you may have already noticed, we've slowly loosened up on this approach over time, leading up to our recent updates that made significant changes to a good chunk of battle content. Now, this trend won't keep rising until our every thought is nothing but battle content - Corporate Clash isn't just about the battles, after all! We are just more willing than before to add or change battle content before Hammerspace's release.
To that extent, while it would be fitting to rework facilities and department bosses alongside GaG, they won't be getting a full fledged rework, but they will still be affected by the base changes to the Cogs and given some necessary adjustments. This also includes the previously mentioned facility manager reworks. GaG already has a lot on its plate, and we'd like to do less piling up of features on big updates whenever it's feasible to. Facilities and department bosses will eventually get their own reworks to improve aspects other than the Cog battle rounds, but those probably won't be for a long while.
While we're here, we'll also take this time to get you up to speed on various things that were shown or talked about in the past:
- Doodles: Not sure what we'll do with them yet, but we still want them to return eventually.
- New Toon Movement and Camera Controls: These were shelved a while ago. They could still be a thing, but if so, we're not sure when.
- Foil Stickers: These were shown more as a proof of concept than a feature that was actually intended to be implemented. We've discussed having new cosmetic loot, but foil stickers may not be what we go for.
- HUD Revamp: Shelved a while ago. It can still happen, but it'll look different than the very early concept that was shown in the past. For reasons you can probably guess, some UI work will still be necessary in Hammerspace, MnM, GaG, and likely the Taskline revamp.
- New Building Loading Animations: This feature was functional, but was also buggy to the point where it was shelved.
- Duck Shuffler Makeship Comic: The Duck Shuffler comic is fully written and artwork is almost complete, with only a few panels left in need of rendering. We apologize for how long that it has taken to get this comic out. The comic was written at a time when the brand art team did not have as much oversight on scripts, and what was written proved to be an intense amount of work for our small team of comic artists. It is not lack of prioritization, but the sheer amount of labor, that has kept it in the works. We hope you enjoy it after its release, regardless.
- Firesetter's unmet Makeship rewards: The Firesetter accessories and comic are both still in our backlog. The comic will likely begin production once the Duck Shuffler comic is out and our artists have had plenty of time to rest between lengthy projects. The accessories will resume work eventually, but we cannot guarantee when.
ALRIGHT... safe to say, we've certainly said our fair share of things in this blog post! Let's wrap it up with a little more to know about Gears and Gizmos and some closing thoughts.
Conclusion
Ah yes, the age old question. When will the update come out? There are some good news and bad news. The bad news is that the GaG update is only made possible due to the many backend system changes made in Hammerspace, meaning that we cannot release GaG without releasing Hammerspace first. The good news however, is that so far, GaG development has been smooth to the point where we've gotten pretty far with technical implementation. As we mentioned earlier in this blog post, we've been able to run internal playtesting sessions of GaG here and there since December 2024. Art and audio assets will also pick up more in the future.
In the best case scenario, we finish GaG before we finish Hammerspace, meaning that the two updates could potentially release together. However, this is also the least likely scenario. The best thing we can assure you is that most likely, when Hammerspace is out, GaG won't be that far behind it. We're still not sure when Hammerspace will be finished, but we will let you know when there's a clearer answer.
Lastly, we wanted to mention that we will have a fully public playtest for GaG before its full release so we can ensure that the new battle system feels fun and enjoyable. Your feedback will be incredibly important for shaping the update as best as it possibly could be. Stay TOONed for more info!
