Toons are the colorful characters that inhabit the world of Toontown and are the protagonists of Toontown Corporate Clash. These fun-loving slapstick enthusiasts each have their own charming personalities. Toons always help each other out, forming Clubs and engaging in exciting Activities with each other. However, the one thing Toons cannot stand is Cogs. Toons are constantly fighting off the evil robot Cogs from taking over Toontown, using their Gags to send them packing one joke at a time!
Toons serve as both the playable characters of Toontown Corporate Clash as well as the friendly NPCs located all throughout Toontown. When creating your first Toon, you'll have to go through the Toontorial which teaches you the controls and other basic information such as Cog Battles. Players can customize their Toons with different Clothing and Accessories.

Toon Species

All Toons are based on a different type of animal species. There are 20 Toon Species in total, coming in all different shapes and sizes. A player can choose what species they want to be when they first create their Toon on the Make A Toon menu. They can also change an existing Toon's species by going to the Restoration Station in Toontown Central.

Laff

Laff serves as the Toons' life force. Laff gets depleted by the Cogs' attacks, however, the more Laff you have the more Cog attacks you can take! If a Toon loses all their Laff, they'll go sad, and be forced to return to the nearest Playground. Toons can recover Laff Points while remaining inside a Playground and picking up the treasures scattered about it. There are many other ways to regain Laff, which you can read about here!

Toons start with 15 Laff Points but can gain up to a maximum of 150 Laff. Toons can view their Laff by locating the Laff Meter at the bottom left of the screen. The Laff Meter's appearance changes based on the Toon's species.

Toon Levels

Toon Levels are a system that allows Toons to earn EXP to gain additional Laff Points, Gag Pouch upgrades, Training Points, and Jellybean Pouch upgrades. Experience and level are displayed on the Experiometer at the bottom of the screen. Toon EXP is earned from completing ToonTasks, defeating Cogs, and obtaining Achievements.

Gags

Gags are the slapstick jokes Toons use to battle against Cogs. There are eight different types, or "Tracks," of Gags, with each Track having Gags that can increase from Level 1 to Level 8. When starting the game, Toons can select any two Gag Tracks to start with. As Toons progress through the game, they will earn Training Points through leveling up their Toon which can be used to unlock more Gag Tracks. Toon can also choose to Prestige their existing ones instead. A Prestige is an upgrade to a Gag Track, giving it additional use or strength. Gags can be purchased with Jellybeans at the Gag Shop located in any Playground, or at any Gag N' Go located on the streets.

Toontasks

ToonTasks are different objectives for the player to do that offer large chunks of Toon Experience to quickly level up. In addition, all Neighborhoods offer sidetasks that can be done to earn extra Toon Experience towards their Toon Level as well as special rewards like Clothing, Nametags, Cheesy Effects, Teleport Access and more! There are many different types of Tasks for Toons to complete.

Activities

Activities are different minigames Toons can indulge in to earn Achievements and Laff Points. There are four main activities: The Trolley, Fishing, Golfing, and Racing. Toons can join up with friends to play activities together, some rewarding more experience for doing so. Each activity also has its own leveling system, which will unlock a Laff Point boost every 10 levels.

Toon Profiles

Toon Profiles allows players to customize the way their Toon is displayed to other Toons when their Nametag is clicked on. The Toon Profile is displayed on the Social Panel and can provide additional information about the Toon under Toon Details. Players can select different Backgrounds, Nameplates, Poses, and even SpeedChat Colors to fully express their Toony attitude.

Estates

An Estate is where a Toon lives. Every Toon has an Estate. Toons can visit their Estate by opening their Shtickerbook to the Map page and selecting the yellow "Go Home" button at the bottom. The Estate has 6 homes, one for each potential Toon on that player's account. Ownership of each house is dependent on which slot the Toon is located on the Pick-a-Toon screen. The color of the house corresponds to the color of the slot. Toons can visit their friends' Estates by teleporting to them but will be forced to leave if the friend leaves their Estate.

Trivia

  • Toons used to have set genders with certain clothing being locked behind them, but this was removed in v1.2.5.
