Toon-Up
Toon-Up is a Gag Track used by Toons in Cog Battles. Toon-Up Gags are Support Gags used to heal other Toons in battle as well as the user. Toon-Up can be vital for keeping your team alive in some cases, though its inability to deal damage can slow battles down. Toon-Up is the first track in the Gag order, going before all other Gags in a turn.
Toon-Up Mechanics
- LAFF HEAL : Toon-Up restores the Laff points of other Toons in battle.
- Toon-Up cannot target its user directly (i.e. it cannot be used alone). Toon-Up does not damage Cogs either.
- SINGLE/MULTI-TARGET : Every odd-numbered Toon-Up Gag will target only one Toon, while every even-numbered Gag will target all other Toons in battle (excluding the user).
- Multi-target Toon-Up's heal is split between the Toons in battle (i.e. 3 other Toons splits its healing to 1/3 per Toon, 2 other Toons splits it to 1/2 per Toon, rounded up).
- SELF-HEAL : Using Toon-Up heals the user for 25% the Gag's total heal.
- The self-heal factors in Gag effectiveness buffs (e.g. Toon-Up IOUs).
- CHEER : Healing a Toon gives them the
Cheer buff for the round. Cheer grants a 10% Gag accuracy increase.
- Cheer does not stack in any way. The Toon-Up user does not get the
Cheer buff.
- Cheer does not stack in any way. The Toon-Up user does not get the
- ACCURACY : Toon-Up has perfect accuracy (100%) and will never miss.
Prestige![]()
After unlocking Toon-Up, Toons can allot one more Training Point into the Gag Track to Prestige it. Prestige Toon-Up grants the following:
- SELF-HEAL : Prestige Toon-Up heals the user for 45% the Gag's total heal (increased from 25%).
- CHEER :
Cheer now lasts 2 rounds (increased from 1 round).

- Notes: This table only lists the Gags' maximum healing values (i.e. when the Gag reaches its max EXP). Initial healing values can be found on the respective Gags' pages.
- Multi-Target Gags have their values listed as the individual heal per targeted Toon in battle (1 Toon \ 2 Toons \ 3 Toons healed).

Strategy
General
- Toon-Up's usefulness depends on how much damage your team is taking. It sacrifices potential damage dealt towards Cogs in a turn, which can slow the battle. Finding a balance between healing Toons and damaging Cogs is key; you'll only want to use Toon-Up if you feel it's necessary to keeping your team alive.
- Toon-Up typically isn't as useful in Cog Buildings and Cog Boss battles, where Cogs can be easily defeated. However, if your team members are inexperienced or low leveled, it may be useful to bring.
- Given that using Toon-Up requires one other Toon present in battle to use, this Gag track is entirely useless in solo play.
Managers
- Toon-Up finds much more use for Manager Bosses, given that taking damage is inevitable in most Manager battles. The longer and more difficult the Manager battle, the more of a necessity Toon-Up becomes.
- Toon-Up can provide usefulness outside of healing. Toon-Up's
Cheer buff can be helpful in scenarios where gaining as much accuracy for Gag attacks is key.
- Prestige Toon-Up's
Cheer lasts one additional round, which is useful if you need continuous accuracy buffs. This is especially impactful in Manager battles like the Witch Hunter and Chainsaw Consultant, where Gags missing can be devastating.

Toon-Up Training
Training Toon-Up requires at least one Toon to be healed from the Toon-Up to gain experience points in the track. Self-healing also fulfills this requirement. Any amount of healing from Toon-Up will count; it does not need to be the Gag's maximum healing value. If no Toons are healed, you will NOT gain Toon-Up experience.
- A unique exception to this requirement is when multiple Toon-Up Gags are used in the same turn. Toon-Up XP is still awarded if the Gag would have healed the Toon or yourself before the other Toon-Ups were used in the same turn. This means that even if the Toon gets fully healed before the next Toon-Up is used that turn, it will still gain experience.
- Toon-Up has an innate x2 experience multiplier, which stacks multiplicatively with other Gag XP boosts.
Training Strategies: When training Toon-Up, you are required to have at least one other Toon with you, as this track cannot be used alone. Your best bet is training inside a Cog Building, making use of their high experience multipliers. For optimal Toon-Up training, you'll want to keep some Cogs alive and unlured. This allows the Cogs to repeatedly attack Toons, which you can then heal to gain experience.
Gaining more experience will increase a Toon-Up Gag's healing, up until you reach the next level Toon-Up Gag. The experience granted is equivalent to the Gag's level x2 (e.g. a High Dive gives 16 XP), which can be further boosted through various means. Toon-Up's unique x2 experience bonus stacks multiplicatively with other Gag XP boosts. For more information on Gag training and experience, see here:
