The Cogs are robotic businessmen that work for Coal, Oil, and Gas Syndicate Incorporated (shortened as C.O.G.S. Inc). Cogs serve as the main antagonistic force of Toontown Corporate Clash, fighting against the Toons to take over Toontown and harvest its natural resources. These buckets of bolts come in all shapes and sizes and use a wide variety of business-themed attacks against the Toons, depleting their Laff Points and making them go sad. However, Cogs cannot take a joke. Toons can use their Gags to fight back against the Cogs and send them packing one joke at a time!

There are five departments that the Cogs work underneath C.O.G.S. Inc: Sellbots, Cashbots, Lawbots, Bossbots, and Boardbots.

Cog Types

There are many other types of Cogs, some of which are unique to Toontown: Corporate Clash.

Cog Levels

Cog Levels are a value given to all Cogs that can help Toons determine how dangerous that Cog is. A Cog's level can be viewed on their nametag. The health and damage of a Cog is tied directly to their level, with higher level Cogs having more health and dealing more damage. Cogs have specific level ranges depending on their Cog Type and Cog Tier.

Cog Health

Cog Health Chart.png
EXE Cog Health Chart.png

Standard Cog health can be calculated using the standard formula: (x being level of the Cog.)

For Field Specialist, the health is calculated through the formula:

For Operations Analysts, the health is calculated through the formula:

For Executives, multiply the normal Cog's health by x1.5. Example: A level 1 Executive Employee would be 6 * 1.5 = 9, so 9 HP. a level 5 Executive Operations Analysts would be 54 * 1.5 = 81, so 81 HP.

A Skelecog's health ranges from 90% to 110% of its level's health value, and a Virtual Skelecog ranges from 70% to 120%. If the health results in a decimal value it rounds down to the nearest whole number.

Manager Cogs break standard traditions of Cog health and do not have a set health formula. Instead, their total health values are set directly.

A Cog can be continuously healed (through a Manager cog such as Derrick Man) past its current HP value. They are Overhealed in this state. Regular Cogs can be Overhealed by 50% of their original HP. Some Managers have different overheal values and may allow themselves and other Cogs in battle to go into an Overcharged state once they hit that 50%. Overcharged Cogs will deal 50% more damage, have 2 Rounds of Lure Resistance, and have the same benefits of Manager Cogs (cannot be sued/fired, plus unaffected by Trap's Executive damage boost).

Cog Headquarters and Promotions

Investigate The Cog Headquarters!

Boardbotemblem1.1.pngBoardbot HQ

There are currently four different Cog HQs currently known in Toontown. Sellbot HQ where the Senior Vice President resides promoting Sellbots on top of Sellbot towers, Cashbot HQ where the Chief Financial Officer hides protecting the Cashbot Vaults, Lawbot HQ where the Chief Legal Officer, who replaced the Chief Justice after he retired, and the Lawbots challenge Toons in the Executive Lawfice, and lastly, Bossbot HQ where the Chief Executive Officer is found attending banquets for some of the most advanced Cogs in Toontown. Even though Toons have only discovered 4 Cog Headquarters, they have recently noticed a new Cog type, Boardbots, lingering around Drowsy Dreamland near Pajama Place. Many members of the Toon Resistance fear the Boardbots may be brewing up their own Headquarters soon.

Once Toons have beaten the respective Cog Facilities to acquire enough Cog Suit parts, they can challenge the Department heads, but only if they have earned a promotion for that department. A Toon can earn a promotion by either collecting Invoices, Cogbucks, Patents, or Stock Options depending on the suit's department.

  • Note - Executive Cogs award 1.5 times its level in Invoices, Cogbucks, Patents, and Stock Options compared to a regular Cogs rewarding 1 times its level. For this reason, Cog facilities will always give varying amounts of Invoices, Cogbucks, Patents, and Stock Options because of the random amount of Executive Cogs that can be in a facility.

Cog Buildings

Build-0.png

Cog Buildings are the daunting offices that plague the streets of Toontown! Each Cog Department has a unique style to the exterior of the building.

Buildings can range from simple one story buildings all the way to six floors high! Gag experience equals the highest floor of the building + 1 throughout the entire building, providing a great opportunity for training Gags! (Eg: 1 floor = 2x Gag multiplier, 6 floors = 7x Gag multiplier)

Cogs inside these offices range all the way from level 1 up to level 17 depending on how many floors the building is and the playground it is located in. It is recommended that Toons are fully restocked, have full laff and take friends along, especially for the more dangerous 5 and 6 floor buildings. Defeating a building and saving its shopkeeper will reward some Jellybeans. The amount of beans you get increases the higher the building is.

Note for training: Cog Buildings are not affected by the effects of Cog Invasions.
