Skelecogs

Skelecogs are skeletal structure of the Cogs. Cogs are made up of two parts, the suit acting as their outer shell, and the skeleton underneath that performs all the motor functions. Their voices are more robotic, their ties gain the same color and pattern of their Department's suit, and they do not possess their employee name on their nametags (aside from the infobox when you click on them). Executive Skelecogs will be tinted the primary color used for their Department, and their tie will match that of their non-skelecog counterpart.

All Skelecogs are given the Skeletal Structure buff.

The Skeletal Structure buff makes the Cog resistant to debuffs. All negative effects applied to them (Soak, Lure, Sues, etc.) will last one round less. Additionally, their health values will range from 90% to 110% of the level's original value. If the Cog's HP is a non integer, it will always round down. For example, a level 12 Skelecog's HP can range from 163 to 200.

Virtual Skelecogs

Virtual Skelecogs are holographic variants of regular Skelecogs. They are only found in Lawfices and the Chief Legal Officer battle. In Lawfices, they serve as a punishment for failing a Lawfice puzzle, giving you no Gag experience, task credit, or Patents. These conditions do not apply in the Chief Legal Officer battle.

All Virtual Skelecogs are given the Virtualized buff.

The Virtualized buff makes makes the Cog resistant to debuffs. All negative effects applied to them will last two rounds less. Their health values range from 70% to 110% of the level's original health value. For example, a level 15 Virtual Skelecog's HP will range from 190 to 299.

  • The Virtual Skelecog's debuff resistance makes stunlocking them with Lure much more difficult. The $10 Bill and Hypno-goggles will only keep them lured for two rounds, and any Lure gag lower than that will allow them to unlure at the end of the round.

Version 2.0 Cogs (v2.0)

Version 2.0 Cogs are Cogs with two forms. They start out in their base 'Suit' form, and once destroyed, they enter their Skelecog form. Currently, the only existing v2.0 Cogs are Derrick Hand, Count Erclaim, and Count Erfit.

Once in their Skelecog form, a v2.0 Cog receives damage and health changes. As it currently stands, each Version 2.0 Manager recieves different health and damage value changes.

  • Derrick Hand has 50% less HP and deals 50% more damage.
  • Count Erclaim has 25% less HP and deals 25% more damage.
  • Count Erfit does not turn into a Skelecog, and instead 'maxes out his arms.' He gains twice as much HP, deals 40% more damage, and receives 340% more damage from Gags.

Trivia

  • Skelecogs can briefly be seen underneath the Cogs themselves when a Zap Gag is used against them.
  • Boardbot Skelecogs are the rarest of them all, since Boardbot Headquarters has yet to be released. They can rarely be found in the headquarters of other departments.
  • Although there is texture support for Waiter Skelecogs, the Waiter Cogs themselves do not use this texture. They instead use their department's Skelecog texture.
  • The texture images of every department Skelecog shows that they can wear either a regular tie or a bowtie, although they will usually wear their department tie.
    • The only exceptions to this are from the Satellite Investors Hydra and Charon, who wear a bowtie and skinny necktie respectively despite being Cashbots.
    • Also, the Skelecogs of Insiders, the Deep Diver, and the Gatekeeper do not wear any tie.
  • Unlike regular Skelecogs, Manager Skelecogs have a fixed amount of HP. They still keep their debuff resistance.
  • Some Cogs have unique Skelecog head models. These include the Public Relations Representative, the Director of Public Affairs, the Derrick Hand, Autocaddies, the Club President (in Face the Family,) and the Chainsaw Consultant (when hit by a high level Zap Gag).
  • Due to Skelecog models being pits and pieces rather than being one mesh like their suited counterparts, some animations will break on these Cogs, like Pick Pocket for thin Cogs, the Deep Diver's emerge from water animation, the Duck Shuffler's Wager Management animation, and most notoriously Backhanded Compliment.
