Cog Information
First Cog Round | Starting Cog | Cog Levels | Cog Level Pool | Cog Amount |
---|---|---|---|---|
Level 13 | 5-13.exe | ~200 | ~24 Cogs | |
Skelecog Round | Starting Cog | Cog Levels | Cog Level Pool | Cog Amount |
Level 13 | 8-13.exe | ~300 | ~31 Cogs |
*The Cog Level Pool is the cumulative number of Cog Levels within the entirety of the battle, being split between both sides.
Starting Cogs do not count towards the Cog Level Pool.
The Cog Round
The boss battle begins with a cutscene showing the V.P. promoting various Cogs to Sellbots and sending them off to do their duties. As the group of Toons arrive, replacing the previous Cogs, Rain can be seen calling for them while in a cage. Her announcement reveals that the Toons in disguise are not Cogs and causes the Cog Disguises to be removed.
Toons will then be split into two battles (or one if there are 4 or less Toons). Cogs will spawn from the V.P.'s undercarriage ranging from Level 5-13 with one of the starting Cogs being a guaranteed Level 13. The next round will begin once all Cogs have been defeated.
The Skelecog Round
Once at least one side of Cogs have been defeated, Rain's cage will begin to lower and she will thank the Toons. When all Cogs are defeated, the V.P. will slowly begin moving up the platform onto the second floor of the area. As he reaches the top, Rain calls for the Toons to stop him before he gets away.
Toons will then be split into two battles (or one if there are 4 or less Toons). Skelecogs will spawn from the V.P.'s undercarriage ranging from Level 8-13 with one of the starting Cogs being a guaranteed Level 13. The next round will begin once all Cogs have been defeated.
The Pie Round
Once all Skelecogs have been defeated, the final battle against the V.P. begins. Rain's cage lowers even more and tells the Toons how to attack the V.P,.
The V.P.'s health is displayed as a percentage, rather than a set amount. During the battle, Toons can take on 2 separate roles: attacking the V.P. or stunning him.
Stunning
In order to stun the V.P., a Toon needs to throw a Whole Fruit Pie into the V.P.'s undercarriage when it opens. The back hatch will be forced to open when the V.P. is on a ramp, and the front hatch will be forced to open when the V.P, has 5% of his HP remaining. The best method is to throw pies using the Secondary Action Key as it allows you to quickly throw a 0 meter pie, which has a short arc. The lack of height is ideal for stunning as the undercarriage is low to the ground. Once the V.P. reaches 65% HP, he will be able to be hit by no more than 6 pies during a single stun.
Strategy
Depending on the skill of the stunner, there only needs to be at least one person attempting to stun the V.P. while the other players attack him. However, multiple people stunning can help quickly stun him before he attacks. Either role will require the player to jump up at Rain's cage to equip throwable Whole Fruit Pies. All players will start with 30 Whole Fruit Pies to throw and will need to return to Rain to obtain more after that amount has been depleted. Pies can be thrown by either clicking the pie icon at the top of the screen or by using the Secondary Action Key. The blue meter shown below the icon determines how far and high the pie will be thrown, with a full bar meaning a higher thrown pie. When the V.P. has been stunned, it will be indicated by the Aoogah noise and the V.P. will have stars around his head as he lowers his body. Once stunned, pies can be thrown directly at him, showing a purple colored "SPLAT" with each successful hit that will deal 10 damage each. With each hit, he will slowly continue to lower himself down the ramps until he reaches the end platform.
One of the V.P.'s attacks includes a jump, which can be indicated by a appearing above your Toons head. To avoid getting damaged, wait one second before jumping after the indication. Additionally, if you find yourself or someone else low on on Laff, the pies can be used to hit Toons to gain +3 Laff with each pie.
Ending
Once the V.P. reaches 0% health, or the ledge of the platform, he will fall off the ledge to his demise. All Toons who survived until the end will do the battle victory dance and see Rain free from her cage. They will also receive their reward of various IOUs and one of Rain herself in addition to Unites.
