Unstable Cogs are special versions of the Facility Managers that can be found in the Overclocked Face the Family and the Highly Unstable Overclocked Face the Family gamemodes during April Toons events. They were first introduced during the MAYpril Toons 2023 event. These Cogs can use a Cheat called "Unstable Transformation" after each round, randomly transforming into one of the 24 variants of the Facility Managers (with the exception of Sleepy, Explosive, and Contractor) each additionally having one or more Cheats.

Nuclear Cogs

In Overclocked Face the Family, and its Highly Unstable variant, the Cogs located in the Central Silo will all be Nuclear. Like Unstable Cogs, they will transform into one of the 24 possible variants of Facility Managers every round.

Nuclear Cogs are given the Nuclear Core Upgrade which grants them 8x more health and 2.1375x-2.3625x more damage. However, Toons will be given the Prismatic buff that grants them 3x more health and 3x more damage. This damage buff applies to Toon-Up as well.

These rewards will be unlocked upon defeating the required amount of Unstable Cogs. Nuclear Cogs will count towards these defeats as well.
Unstable/Nuclear Cogs will only count as defeated upon completing the Factory.

Trivia

• High Stakes Club President and Accounting Mint Supervisor were not part of the original lineup of Unstable Cogs. They were added in the 1.3.2.2 update.
• The Puzzling Club President is a reference to the Wizard101 Boss Medulla, who has a similar cheat of "confusing" a targeted player.
• Most of the cheats are designed based on the cheats of certain Manager Bosses.
• Unstable Cogs count as 2 Cogs each for ToonTasks (but only count as 1 Manager), while the Nuclear Family Cogs count as 3 Cogs each.
  • This means that it is counting the "Unstable" status as an additional Cog.
