Cheats
- Cog Capacity is 5 at all times.
The Featherbedder has a Lure Resistance of 2 rounds.
The Featherbedder receives less damage and deals more damage depending on the number of additional Cogs present in the battle. The values are as follows:
- 10% less damage taken and 15% more damage dealt with 1 additional Cog.
- 20% less damage taken and 30% more damage dealt with 2 additional Cogs.
- 30% less damage taken and 45% more damage dealt with 3 additional Cogs.
- 40% less damage taken and 60% more damage dealt with 4 additional Cogs.
When a Grunt Cog joins the battle, they are given the Power Nap status effect. This effect has a duration of 2 turns and does the following:
- Duration of 2 turns (right after the Cog has joined) - -70% damage dealt and -80% damage taken
- Duration of 1 turn - -50% damage dealt and -60% damage taken
- If this effect expires naturally, the Cog is healed to 3x their maximum health (not more than 500 healed). This automatically triggers
Overcharged.
Well Rested - Every napping Cog defeated will grant the Toons a +8 damage buff. Any previous uses of this buff does not re-apply to new or reoccurring Toons joining the battle, only the ones that were present when a napping Cog was defeated.
For every round that the Featherbedder remains as the only Cog in the fight, they apply a 25% damage resist to themselves. This can stack for 4 rounds in a row to receive a maximum amount of 100%. This buff loses one stack every turn while another Cog is in the battle. Attacking the Featherbedder at 100% resistance still applies debuffs, but will deal no damage.
When Sound is used against Cogs under Power Nap, the Featherbedder will deal an extra attack per napping Cog. This cheat occurs even if said Cogs are destroyed by sound.

Track | "Should I bring this Gag to this fight?" | "Should I Prestige it?" | "How many Toons should bring it?" |
![]() Toon-Up |
Not the most necessary Gag to have on hand in this fight due to the fact that you shouldn't be taking too much damage with the low damage output of napping Cogs. Someone should still have it though to be able to patch up Featherbedder's heavy hits if they have the full bonus of Overhire.![]() ![]() ![]() Rating: 2/3 Stars |
Not the most necessary for the same reasons listed as Toon-Up itself. Useful if your group is not taking care of napping Cogs before they wake up, however.![]() ![]() ![]() Rating: 2/3 Stars |
1-2 Toons |
![]() Trap |
Good for taking out a sizable chunk of any napping Cog's HP. Not too useful otherwise as you'll more than likely be using one of the other 3 Power Gags as your main damage dealers towards the Featherbedder. Can be useful for setting up an extra debuff on the Featherbedder towards Drop's prestige.![]() ![]() ![]() Rating: 2/3 Stars |
Any extra damage towards napping Cogs can be nice and helpful. Not the most recommended though as there are better prestiges for this fight.![]() ![]() ![]() Rating: 1/3 Stars |
0-2 Toons |
![]() Lure |
Shows a lot of nice use in this fight. Both used for high damage with Throw against the Featherbedder when they're alone and can also be used to prevent the Featherbedder from attacking for a round due to them being one of the few Managers with 2 rounds of Lure Resistance. Do be careful when using Lure against napping Cogs as the damage will not always display properly on Throw and Squirt when selecting Gags against them while they're Lured.![]() ![]() ![]() Rating: 3/3 Stars |
Useful for tossing out more damage against the Featherbedder with Throw. Not too useful with napping Cogs.![]() ![]() ![]() Rating: 3/3 Stars |
1-2 Toons |
![]() Throw |
One of your three primary damage dealers against the Featherbedder in this fight. Mostly useful for burst damage while they're alone.![]() ![]() ![]() Rating: 3/3 Stars |
Not the most necessary, but can still be very useful for healing a decent chunk of your Laff back for free when bursting down the Featherbedder while they're alone.![]() ![]() ![]() Rating: 2/3 Stars |
3-4 Toons |
![]() Squirt |
One of the two more important Gags to have for this fight. It's useful for both setting up against the Featherbedder and can be used to set up a row of 4 napping Cogs to all be taken down at once with Zap.![]() ![]() ![]() Rating: 3/3 Stars |
This prestige gives little to no benefit during this fight. The slight amount of extra chip damage on the Featherbedder isn't worth it and due to the fact that the damage resistance from napping Cogs applies twice in the case of Squirt's splash damage (once for the base hit, reducing the splash once, and once for the splash damage itself, reducing it even further). Other prestiges are far more worth it in this fight.![]() ![]() ![]() Rating: 0/3 Stars |
2-4 Toons |
![]() Zap |
The most important Gag to have for this fight. It's highly useful for quickly clearing out an entire group of napping Cogs and can even be used as a main damage dealer towards the Featherbedder if you have a single napping Cog in the battle standing next to them.![]() ![]() ![]() Rating: 3/3 Stars |
The extra damage can be nice for making it slightly easier to kill napping Cogs.![]() ![]() ![]() Rating: 2/3 Stars |
3-4 Toons |
![]() Sound |
It is heavily recommended to not bring this Gag to this fight as it is directly countered by the Featherbedder's Insomnia cheat. The only time you will get to use this Gag is if you are against a group of Cogs that have all woken up from their naps.![]() ![]() ![]() Rating: 0/3 Stars |
If you insist on bringing Sound then its prestige can likely be useful for setting up bigger damage towards the Featherbedder when they are alone. Do note however that you will still not be able to make efficient use of this unless every Cog in the fight has woken up from their nap.![]() ![]() ![]() Rating: 0/3 Stars |
0 Toons |
![]() Drop |
The last of your three primary damage dealers in this fight. Like Throw, it is mostly useful for burst damage while the Featherbedder is alone.![]() ![]() ![]() Rating: 3/3 Stars |
A very good prestige to have as it will boost Drop's high damage even higher if you properly set up against the Featherbedder.![]() ![]() ![]() Rating: 3/3 Stars |
3-4 Toons |
- Attack the Featherbedder immediately to get a lot of early damage in before Cogs start joining, as Peaceful Slumber will not activate until 2 turns of no additional Cogs.
- It is recommended to go Soundless and use Zap and Squirt as your main AoE Gags. Insomnia causes Featherbedder to retaliate against Sound Gags up to 4 times in one turn, which will quickly wipe your team.
- If a bunch of new (2 turn) Sleeping Cogs join your battle, you can group Lure and have two/three Toons Soak the extra Cogs to set up for a quadruple Zap combo on the next turn, when they're significantly less tanky. If the Zaps kill them all, no Cogs will begin to join until the start of the Toons next turn, giving ample time to damage the Featherbedder while they are alone.
- The Overhire count applies for the entire turn. Even if you were to destroy 4 Cogs and attack the Featherbedder on the same turn, Gags used on on the Featherbedder will still deal 60% less damage, and the Featherbedder will still deal 40% more damage until the next turn.
- Lure and Throw combos on the Featherbedder can get stronger than drop combos, as Well Rested increases both Lure Knockback and Throw damage individually and significantly.
- It may sometimes help to approach the Featherbedder on Lullaby Lane, as it is the only street in Drowsy Dreamland to not have Level 11s and it has a lower Executive chance than Twilight Terrace. While the fight can overall become a little easier to handle, this idea only serves as a suggestion and is not a necessity for win fights with.
- Fighting Featherbedder at the end of any street allows for less Cogs to join the fight, but enough to where Peaceful Slumber does not become an issue.

Trivia
- Featherbedding is a labor union practice that requires employers to change their workforce to live up to union regulations.
- The Featherbedder's middle initial and last name translates to "siesta", a short nap taking in the early afternoon.
- Their first name, Tawney, may be derived from "tawny", a color and also an species of owl.
- The Featherbedder is the only street Regional Manager that can be lured for 2 rounds.
- On the cogs.ink website, the Featherbedder's username is
estatawney
and their password isRealh0useofZZZs
- The password was revealed by an ascii-art image of Pajama Place (located in the source code of the Firestarter's profile page). A specific asterisk could pinpoint the location to the House of Zzzzzs, revealing the password if one has the "NPC interaction" keybind enabled. The username was revealed manually by Mac Opsys in the second batch of usernames in the v1.3.0 ARG.
- The Featherbedder has a small pair of black eyes underneath its eyebrows. They are usually shown closed, but can be seen opened during the Insomnia cheat.
- The Featherbedder enjoys listening to the radio, particularly the shows on Suitopia FM.
