Cheats

Cog capacity.png

This battle can hold up to a maximum of four Cogs. A group pool of up to 17 Cogs can be spawned into the fight ranging from levels 3-5. Three spawn initially at the beginning of the battle, while the rest continuously fill up to the cap whenever a Cog is destroyed.

Ink drain laa.png

This cheat will afflict Toons with the Ink Drain debuff, reducing Gag effectiveness by 25% for 2 rounds. For example, a 60 damage Kart Battery will deal 45 damage instead. This cheat will activate at the beginning of the round starting on round 2 and every 4 rounds afterwards. This cheat is identified by Toons being colored gray while under the effects of Ink Drain.

Opening Cutscene The Toons enter the office and observe a group of monitors observing Barnacle Boatyard

The Land Acquisition Architect flies down behind the Toons

"We-ell, look who wandered a little too far in the fog!"

The Toons turn around and are surprised

"Now I may just give you the benefit of the doubt, and say you must be here to talk about my expansion request?"
"I've been workin' mighty hard to get these here lands ready for development!"
"No? Eghhhh."

The Land Acquisition Architect begins to pace back and forth

"I don't get why y'all Toons are so headstrong against my land works!"
"Workin' on the land is important for us Suits, it's just part'a who we are!"
"The resources, new jobs, a common purpose!"

The Land Acquisition Architect stomps back and forth

"It's great for the economy, and I do lo-o-o-o-ove the economy!"
"But folks only seem to care about pollution this, zonin' law that! Always try'na halt the advance of progress!"
"You get me, don't you Toons?"

The Toons react confused

"I should have expected as little!"

The Land Acquisition Architect turns to leave

"Officially, I do have to state that you are not welcome on this here land."
"I'll give ya plenty of time to get off this property though-at least y'all have been kind enough to hear me out!"

The Land Acquisition Architect stops

"Wait, I know you."

The Land Acquisition Architect turns back around

"You wouldn't happen to know my acquaintance down in the Central Oil District, would ya?"
"Ah-ah! Yes! Yes I do know you!"
"Mr. Boar has told me a long song about your attempts to stop the oil harvesting!"
"You're here to break my advance, eh?!"
"Now you've been passive so far Toons, so I'm gonna give y'all one last chance."
"Get off of this here property of the Coal, Oil, and Gas Syndicate!"

The Toons laugh

"Think yourself some sorta titanium tough Toon?"

Cogs fly down behind the Land Acquisition Architect

"I'll break the very ground ya stand on!"

The Land Acquisition Architect stomps in place

Ending Cutscene

The Land Acquisition Architect furiously stomps his foot

"AGH! You Toons are no better than them there earthworms!"
"Y'all get in the way of my development!"
"Y'all deny my requests for land expansion!"
"And if that wasn't enough to dot the line..."
"Y'ALL CONSTANTLY BREAK IN HERE TRYN'A GET RID OF ME!"

The Land Acquisition Architect stomps in place, each one bigger than the last

"AHH!"
"CURSE!"
"YOU!"
"TOONS!"

The Toons fall down and get back up

"Now tell me mighty quick, is it me or is this situation very much up in the air?"

The Land Acquisition Architect looks down, revealing that a giant hole has formed under him

"Oh."

The Land Acquisition Architect and any remaining Cogs fall down the hole
The hole disappears

Version History

v1.3.0.4 BETA
  • Disabled the flashing light box in the Land Acquisition Architect interior to address a health and safety concern.
v1.3.0 BETA
  • The Barnacle Boatyard and Ye Olde Toontown taskline managers have been renamed to the Land Acquisition Architect and the Public Relations Representative respectively.
    • The L.A.A. is added to the game, replacing the D.O.L.A.
  • All of the taskline managers have now been given unique head models, updated cutscenes, and new personalities.
  • HP values of the Derrick Man, Land Acquisition Architect, and the Public Relations Representative have been rebalanced to more closely fit the intended difficulty curve.
    • HP has changed from 130->275.

Trivia

  • In the v1.3.0 QA session, the L.A.A. had 185 HP. He also did not have unique voiceclips.
  • The L.A.A.'s office is based on Toontown Online's "Cog Penthouse Suite" that was originally seen in Field Offices.
  • The L.A.A.'s middle initial and last name reads as "Escrow", which is an agreement between two parties where money or property is kept by a third party until a particular condition is met.
  • In a Backstage Blogpost, Enoch (a Clash Crew Member who did significant writing for both the L.A.A. and the D.O.L.D.), stated that he was modeled after a "Texan land mogul, which implied the confidence, position, and sheer passion for land development".
    • The original plan for the ending cutscene was for the L.A.A. to slip and fall while stomping.
    • The L.A.A.'s design was based off of D.O.L.D., not the other way around.
  • The L.A.A's twirls during the marching section were an homage to the Mover and Shake turns in Toontown Online Field Offices.
