Chief Legal Officer

From Toontown Corporate Clash Wiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

The Chief Legal Officer (or C.L.O. for short) is the new Lawbot Boss found in Lawbot Headquarters and is available to fight once Toons have completed their Lawbot disguise by infiltrating the Lawbot Lawfice. After the Chief Justice resigned, The Chairman quickly appointed her as the new Boss of all Lawbots. Her task is to help migrate the Judiciary Law lifestyle into Corporate Law. She is seen doing so in the Executive Lawfice that is located within Lawbot Headquarters. The Chief Legal Officer has a much harder Overclocked variant of her boss fight.

The exclusive reward for defeating the C.L.O. are Cease and Desists. This base number starts at 6, but can be increased by +2 by the Level 30 department boost, Boosters, and Surplus Sunday. The C.L.O. will also reward 4 Unites that can only be increased by +1 with the Surplus Sunday bonus.

After defeating the C.L.O. Toons will also be promoted to the next Lawbot Suit and will need to gain a certain amount of Patents to fight the boss again.

Content Sync

Toons fighting against the C.L.O. will have Content Sync applied to them. They will be synced down to the following stats:

  • 95 Laff Soft Cap (120 Max)
  • All Gags permitted
  • All rewards permitted

*The Cog Level Pool is the cumulative number of Cog Levels within the entirety of the battle, being split between both sides (if applicable).
Starting Cogs do not count towards the Cog Level Pool.

The Cog Round

CLOIntroScene.png

The boss battle begins with a cutscene showing Lauren Ordier and Bumpy Bumblebehr, wearing a random Lawbot disguise, preparing the Toons to infiltrate the C.L.O's meeting to re-educate the Lawbots about corporate law. As they enter, the C.L.O. immediately notices that they are late to the meeting and ask for an explanation. Lauren fails to convince the C.L.O. that they are Cogs and her disguise fails, revealing that she is indeed a Toon, causing the other disguises to fail as she runs out of the building. The C.L.O. then asks Lawbots at her table to come up with a method to deal with the Toons. One Cog eventually says a poor method, causing the C.L.O. to drop the entire table with the seated Cogs into a pit built in the floor. The table falls back down from the ceiling, empty, and the C.L.O. calls for other Cogs to get the Toons.

Toons will then be split into two battles (or one if there are 4 or less Toons). Cogs will spawn from one of the paintings on the wall ranging from Level 7-16 with one of the starting Cogs being a guaranteed Level 17. The next round will begin once all Cogs have been defeated.

The Cannon Round

Cannon.png

Once all Cogs have been defeated, the C.L.O. comments on how she would've known the Toons would interfere with her plans, and suggests sending them to the slammer. Hammers shake the entire room, causing papers on the table to fly into the air. Bumpy suggest entering a cannon and shooting into the Cogs, which are there to collect said papers.

Collecting papers will rewrite them into a point system. The higher the amount of points a Toon has, the higher the Sound Gag that they will receive at the Final Round.

Lower leveled Cogs will earn you less points towards your score, but will have more predictable and straight patterns. Higher level Cogs move in sporadic patterns but as a result give more points.

Executive Cogs will sometimes fill in for regular Cogs. They are faster than other Cogs, but will reward a greater boost of points and spread them equally to every Toon in the round. These Cogs will also have yellow nametags instead of white.

Virtual Skelecog Round

CLOVirtualSkelecogRound.png

After a set time collecting papers, Bumpy will exit through one of the back doors and will ask the Toons to check on what he found. The C.L.O. stops them dead in their tracks, saying that Bumpy's stealing of corporate property is a serious offense. Her back-up plan is to turn on one or two lights (depending on the amount of Toons present) that summons Virtual Skelecogs.

Toons will then be split into two battles (or one if there are 4 or less Toons). Virtual Skelecogs will spawn from the lights ranging from Level 9-17 with one of the starting Virtual Skelecogs being a guaranteed Level 17. The next round will begin once all the Virtual Skelecogs have been defeated.

The C.L.O. Fight

Clobattle.png

Once all of the Virtual Skelecogs have been defeated, the final battle against the C.L.O. begins. The C.L.O. realizes that her employees cannot fight the Toons, so she insists on fighting them herself. Bumpy had turned the previously collected papers into "Sound Evidence", which are given to the Toons to have a fighting chance against the C.L.O,. The box of evidence is always located at the entrance. Toons are given a maximum amount of 30 uses before they have to restock at this box.

The C.L.O. has 1500 health. During the battle, Toons typically share the same few roles while some may prioritize certain actions over others.

Stunning

The C.L.O. can only be stunned when a Cog explodes next to her. This can be done by using Sound Evidence near a Cog which will gradually deplete its health until it explodes. Sound Evidence can be used by either clicking on the button at the top of the screen or by using the F key. While these Cogs can fly towards Toons on their own, Toons can "taunt" Cogs to come to them quicker by using the G or clicking one of the buttons at the top of the screen. The Sound Evidence button will change from an icon of whichever Sound Gag was achieved during the cannon round to an angry Bottom Feeder face. This key uses 10 Sound points instead of 1.

Pushing

After the C.L.O. is stunned, the Toons are then given the opportunity to push her into a nearby Trap Gag, assembled by Bumpy. There are eight of these that circle around the room, and two in the center. The Trap closest to the box of Sound Evidence is a Trapdoor (160 damage), while the rest are Quicksand (115 damage). Once the C.L.O. has been pushed back into an active Trap, she will take damage and be teleported to a random part of the battle arena. Operations Analysts will then surround the C.L.O. to act as a stun shield, and must be destroyed in order to be stunned again.

Defending Traps

Periodically, Executive Cogs will fly down and look for active Traps to sabotage. Over a certain period of time, the Trap will slowly become red and if the C.L.O. is pushed onto a red Trap, it will be unusable. Only Bumpy can fix these Traps once they become completely red. When a Trap has begun to be sabotaged, orange text will appear above the Toons head to let them know to look around for any Executive Cogs. Using Sound Evidence on these Cogs will destroy them and cause the Trap to return to normal.

Strategy

Every Toon should focus on each job as the fight can be unpredictable. For example, if you notice no one is defeating the Executive Cogs that is on a Trap you should prioritize that over attempting to stun the C.L.O,. When Cogs are defeated they will drop Treasures proportional to 1/2 its level. If you are running low on health, try to avoid taunting to trigger more Cogs for more Treasures. This can cause the Cogs heading towards the C.L.O. to head towards you instead and prevent the other players from damaging the C.L.O.

A common strategy is to have some of the Toons with high-level Sound Gags (Foghorn and Elephant Trunk) blast through the stun shield and have some Toons with low-level Sound Gags (Aoogah and Bugle) use the Taunt key to diverge the Cogs and allow others to stun the C.L.O. She will shower her front, back, left and right sides with paperwork. The best way to get near her is standing on her corners.

One of the C.L.O.'s attacks includes a jump, which can be indicated by a Ttcc gui toonTip exclaim.png appearing above your Toons head. To avoid getting damaged, wait one second before jumping after the indication. As the C.L.O.'s health dwindles, her wheels will turn green and give her a speed boost. Additionally, she can also spawn tornadoes that go out in an X-formation. There will be green arrows displaying their path so that you know how to dodge it. The flying Cogs will increase in levels, taking more Sound Gags to hit before exploding.

Ending

CLOEnding.png

Once the C.L.O. reaches 0 HP from falling into a Trap, she will slowly roll towards the Toons until the floor beneath her opens up, causing her to fall backwards into it. The floor closes back up, and all Toons who survived until the end will do the battle victory dance and receive their Cease & Desist and Unite rewards.

Dialogue

Opening Cutscene

Bumpy Bumblebehr: "There you are! Glad you guys could make it!"
"So here's the deal."
"The C.L.O. is preparing a shadow to re-educate Lawbots about corporate law!"
"We need to infiltrate the office, under the guise of being shadows."

Lauren Ordier: "Exactly, Bumpy."
"Keep in mind that I'M the lead for this operation though, as stated by Lord Lowden Clear."
"We're going to head inside now, Toons. So remember, act natural."
"And stay collected! A professional lawyer is not disorganized..."

The Executive Lawfice doors open to reveal a meeting between the Chief Legal Officer and her subordinates.

C.L.O.: "Our corporation's good name is to be upheld. For any Toons that dare toe the line... SHUT THEM DOWN!"
"Once the shadow is over, come collect these legal outlines that I've illustrated personally."
"You're required to analyze them and thereafter protect C.O.G.S. Inc. against ANY opposition."
"Ahem."
"You're late, Lawbots. Explain yourselves."

Lauren Ordier: "Uh... We were being fitted with our new personality processors..."
"Beep... boop?"

C.L.O.: "Beep boop? Is that some kind of joke?"

Lauren exits her Cog disguise

Lauren Ordier: "Well, this has been fun."
"SEE YOU BACK AT THE TOON HQ!"

Bumpy Bumblebehr: "...Well, our cover's blown."

The Toons exit their Cog disguises

C.L.O.: "Now, as for the other Toons. What shall we do with them?"

Spin Doctor: "I say we remind them who's in charge. Use a permanent gag-order."

Ambulance Chaser: "I say we run them out of town."

Bottom Feeder: "We should take their gags!"

C.L.O.: "And of course... One bad apple ruins the bunch."
"Such a shame, too. This group had potential."

The Lawfice carpet, acting as a trap door, opens to reveal a large pit which the conference table and Cogs fall into. The Lawfice carpet closes and a new conference table falls from the sky replacing the old one.

C.L.O.: "As for those Toons..."
"GET THEM!"

Cannon Round Cutscene

C.L.O.: "Who do you think you are? You've defeated my Cogs and distracted from our business!"
"Perhaps the Chairman was right about you Toons..."
"I should have been expecting an interruption eventually."
"As for trespassing, I would suggest..."
"The SLAMMER!"

The Lawfice Gavels slam.

Bumpy Bumblebehr: "Hey! That just sent the paperwork flying all over the room! She's sending in Lawbots to collect it all!"
"I can't believe I'm taking a page out of Purrsley's playbook, but..."
"Quickly! Use your cannons to smash the Cogs and take the paperwork!"
"Gather as much as you can, we'll store it all in this box!"

Bumpy takes an evidence box out of his pocket and throws it on the ground

Bumpy Bumblebehr: "Keep in mind, you can use your MOVEMENT keys to move in mid-air."
"Aim wisely! I'll be looking in the back, there should be something in their storage room to verify all this evidence..."
"I'll be right back, be careful!"

Bumpy exits through the storage room and the Toons prepare their cannons.

Virtual Skelecog Round Cutscene

Bumpy Bumblebehr: "These should come in handy!"

C.L.O.: "What were you doing back there, you meddling bear?"
"I'll have you know that theft of corporate property is a serious offense."

Bumpy Bumblebehr: "Come over here, Toons! I found-"

C.L.O.: "As if I would let you do as you please!"
"All good businesses know to prepare for any situation."

Camera pans over to the Executive Lawfice Entrance, revealing security system lights

Megaphone Round Cutscene

C.L.O.: "ENOUGH!"
"Clearly my lackies are not enough for you Toons."
"So I suppose it's time I take the law into my own hands..."

Bumpy Bumblebehr: "Uh oh! it sounds like the C.L.O. is planning to take you guys head on!"
"Fortunately, my plan paid off!"
"I was able to verify the evidence you collected into SOUND evidence!"
"Grab some evidence from the evidence collection box, then press the F key to blast the C.L.O. and Cogs in a radius around you!"
"You can also change to a Taunt mode by pressing the G key."
"Try to lure the Cogs in near the C.L.O. before destroying the, that way we can make her dizzy!"
"Once she is dizzy, start blasting her away into one of the traps I set up!"
"Now. Let's get a move on, Toons!"

Ending Cutscene

C.L.O.: "I'm impressed, Toons. You're as persistent as copyright law."
"That being said, I'm afraid this tomfoolery will have to end."
"I want you all to walk up single file right this instant so I can ta-"

The Lawfice Carpet door opens.

C.L.O.: "Is it just me or does something feel off?"
"This... this isn't oooveeer!"

The C.L.O. falls into the pit.
