The Security Goon in the comic "Weekly Meeting"
Goons are small security robots who patrol Cog controlled areas, serving as obstacles for the player. They can be found in the Sellbot Factory, Cashbot Mints, Lawfices, and the C.F.O.'s boss battle. Goons cannot take part in Cog battles.
Goons have a single attack. The beam of light coming from their eye will harm Toons for a set amount of damage depending on where the Goon is and what color the Goon's helmet is. After hitting a Toon, they will stop in place and their eye and light will flash red and blue. Stomping on the Goon's head will temporarily disable them from moving and using their attack.
There are four helmet colors in total which are yellow, orange, red, and purple. The damage of each Goon is usually dependent on the size of the Goon with yellow being the smallest and purple being the largest. Lawbot Lawfices have unique Goons, called Security Goons, that wear officer caps which come in either blue or purple. These Goons are massive, towering over the player, yet can still be stomped (though their size makes it more difficult).
Location | Type | Damage |
---|---|---|
Sellbot Factory (Front Entrance) | Yellow (Small) | 3 |
Yellow | 10 | |
Orange | 15 | |
Sellbot Factory (Side Entrance) | Orange | 15 |
Red | 20 | |
Cashbot Mint: Stomper Alley Pit | Yellow | 8 |
Cashbot Mint | Yellow | 10 |
Lawbot Lawfice | Purple (Security) | 15 |
Blue (Security) | 25 |
Goons present in the C.F.O. fight increase in damage as the fight continues. These amounts vary per size of the Goon and helmet color. The lowest amount is 8 and the highest is up to 43.
Toons can stun Goons by jumping on top of their helmets. This will cause the Goon to deactivate for a short period of time before they get back up and start to move around again. In the C.F.O. battle, any stunned Goons picked up by corner cranes will no longer be stunned if they are dropped, and any Goons picked up by side cranes will instantly become unstunned the moment they are picked up.
The stun time is almost always the same. The only exception to this is Goons in the C.F.O. battle. The larger and more dangerous the Goon is, the less time they are stunned.
