Content Sync

Content Sync is a mechanic that was added to the game in the v1.3.0 Hires & Heroes update. Content Sync lowers the stats of Toons to be on par with certain battles in the game, usually in the form of lowering Laff Points down to a soft cap, restricting the use of certain Gag levels, and restricting the use of certain Boss Rewards.

Laff Point Formula

In order to calculate how much Laff you'll have in Content Synced fights, you'll need to use the following formula:

Soft Cap + (Extra Laff Over Soft Cap ^ Softness)

Soft Cap and Softness are variables differing among all fights. Extra Laff Over Soft Cap is the difference of actual Laff and Soft Cap.

For example: A 142 Laff Toon fighting against a C.L.O. would use the following equation:

95 + (47^0.8) = 116.760972

This rounds up to give the Toon a total of 117 Laff for this fight. Toons who are below the Soft Cap will not need to calculate their Laff as their Laff will not be synced down.

Softness is given to different instances that determines how much Laff should be scaled down after it hits the Soft Cap. The Softness values for all fights are as follows:

Trivia

• Content Sync in Boss Battles were originally planned to be more restrictive on Boss Rewards. You would only be able to use Rewards that correspond up to that Boss (e.g., a V.P. boss battle would only allow IOUs).
• The Pacesetter and OCLO's content sync have a Laff soft cap of 150, effectively meaning Toons will be under no restrictions during their fights.
  • This will no longer be the case if the maximum Laff is ever raised above 150.
