Boss Rewards are rewards given from defeating the four Cog Department heads. Each C.O.G.S. Boss drops an exclusive Boss Reward in addition to a certain amount of Unites. Boss Rewards have a cooldown after being used which varies depending on the reward.

IOUs

IOU Page.png

IOUs call a Toon NPC into battle to provide a Gag damage (or Laff for Toon-Up) bonus to Gags or Gag Tracks. Using an IOU will apply the damage buff to the player and another Toon of their choosing. Multiple of the same IOU cannot be used in the same turn. IOUs of the same Gag Track used on a single Toon will queue their effects (i.e. it will use the higher damage IOU first, then lower damage once the previous IOU expires). This bonus will expire after a certain amount of Gags within that Gag Track have been used, varying depending on which IOU was used. Using an IOU will result in a 0-2 turn reward cooldown depending on the IOU used. The Rain IOU has no reward cooldown, IOUs that last for 3 Gags will have a 1 round cooldown, and all others have a 2 round cooldown.

IOUs are obtained by defeating the Senior Vice President in Sellbot HQ.

Counterfeits

Counterfeits.png

Counterfeits are papers that allow Toons to add extra Gags to their Gag pouch. By forging a Gag, it adds +1 to its quantity. They do not take up a turn, even if you do not used that Forged Gag that round. The same Gag can only be forged once per battle and will give the same amount of XP as a real Gag. All Forged Gags will disappear at the end of the battle and will not refund if they were not used.

Forging a Gag uses the amount of Counterfeits equal to the Gag's level.

  • The highest level Gag allowed in the fight will have a cooldown of 2 turns
  • The second and third highest level Gags will have cooldowns of 1 turn.
  • Lower level Gags will not result in any cooldown.

Counterfeits are obtained by defeating the Chief Financial Officer in Cashbot HQ.

Cease & Desists

Sued.png

Cease & Desists, or Sues, prevent a Cog from attacking, however this Cog can still dodge Gags. Regular Cogs will stay sued for 4 rounds, Skelecogs will stay sued for 3 turns, and Virtual Cogs will be sued for 2. Each time the Cog is hit with a Gag, the round count will increase to match the amount of Gags that hit the Cog up to 4. Suing a Cog will result in a two turn reward cooldown.

Cease & Desists are obtained by defeating the Chief Legal Officer or Overclocked Chief Legal Officer in Lawbot HQ.

Suing a Cog consumes 1/4 of its level in Cease & Desists. For example, suing a level 12 Cog will consume 3 Cease & Desists.

Pink Slips

Pink Slips instantly destroy a Cog in battle by firing it out of a cannon. Firing a Cog will result in a two turn reward cooldown.

Pink Slips are obtained by defeating the Chief Executive Officer in Bossbot HQ.

Firing a Cog consumes 1/3 of its level in Pink Slips. For example, firing a level 12 Cog will consume 4 Pink Slips.

Unites

UniteButtion.png

Unites are a quick-burst of healing that will automatically apply a percentage of Laff depending on the strength of the Unite. This will put the Toon on a Unite Cooldown in battle, or prevent them from using another Unite outside of battle with a battle timer varying in length depending on the Unite chosen.

  • A 20% Unite will go in a 3-turn cooldown in battle or a 60 second cooldown outside of battles.
  • A 30% Unite will go in a 5-turn cooldown in battle or a 90 second cooldown outside of battles.
  • A 40% Unite will go in a 7-turn cooldown in battle or a 120 second cooldown outside of battles.

Unites are obtained by defeating any of the C.O.G.S. Bosses.

Removed Rewards

SOS Cards

SOS Cards were replaced by IOUs in v1.3.0. Functionally they acted the same as IOUs, with minor differences. Some SOS Card types never transitioned into IOUs, such as Cog damage down, Toon accuracy up, and Gag restocks. Additionally, SOS Cards could be obtained by defeating the Derrick Man, in addition to the V.P.

Summons

Summons allowed Toons to call a Cog onto a Street, a Cog Building on an unoccupied Toon building, a Cog Invasion into an entire District, a singular Executive Cog and finally, an Executive Invasion. Only 1 of each type could be held for each Cog.

Summons were obtained by defeating the Lawbot Chief Justice or his replacement during Operation: Break the Law, the Witness Stand-In in Lawbot HQ before version v1.1.0.

In v1.2.0, Summons returned and could be obtained by defeating the Overclocked Chief Legal Officer.

  • Version 1.2 added Executive Cog Summons and Executive Cog Invasions increases the total Summons stockable from 120 to 200!

Summoning a Cog Building would act as if the Cog that the Summon correlates to walked into that building.

Summons were removed in v1.3.0, in part due to the potential for gameplay sabotage through summoning an invasion of high-level Executive Cogs, such as Barristers, in a District where Toons are battling a low-level Street Manager, such as the Deep Diver, making it very difficult or even impossible to finish the fight until the invasion ended due to said Managers' harsh Content Sync restrictions.

When v1.3.0 released, Summons were converted into 5 Gumballs each so that Toons could choose their own alternative from G.U.M.B.A.L.L. Machines. The Overclocked C.L.O. stopped giving out Summons, now instead giving out an additional 10 Cease & Desists upon defeat.

Gag-Up Unites

Gag-Up Unites were rewarded by the C.F.O. in addition to Toon-Up Unites. Gag-Up Unites behaved in the same way as Toon-Up Unites, however they will always have a cooldown of 5 rounds or 60 seconds outside of battle. Using an individual Gag Track Unite (ex: Gag-Up Trap) would give up to Level 8 Gags with 12 Gags total, however using a Restock All will only give up to Level 7s with 40 Gags total.
