The Chief Justice (or C.J. for short) was the Lawbot Boss found in Lawbot Headquarters before retiring. Toons with Lawbot Cog Disguises could enter the Courthouse and begin a three phased Boss Battle. At the end of this battle, the C.J. would storm off and hide in his chambers, leaving Toons to be rewarded with Cog Summons.
As of Corporate Clash's Annual Review Comic, the Chief Justice has left C.O.G.S. Inc. and The Chairman has designated a Manager-type Cog, the Witness Stand-In, to fill in while a permanent replacement for head of the Lawbot Department is found.
Currently, the Lawbot Boss is the Chief Legal Officer.
The Chief Justice was available to fight in the Lawbot Headquarters Courtroom once Toons have completed their Lawbot Cog Disguise by completing District Attorney's Offices. The C.J. consisted of 3 rounds; 1 round against Cogs, 1 Cannon Round (also known as Jury Selection) to either help or hinder the 3rd Round and finally the Trial Round. This round was also known as the Scale Round, which consisted of Toons collecting evidence and throwing them into the pan of a scale located at the center of the courtroom.
After pushing the trial to result in a victory for the Toons, the C.J. will declare a mistrial and return to his chambers, but as a result is crushed by a gigantic stack of paperwork that is needed for the mistrial before he can leave.
The Chief Justice used Boss Tiers, a system implemented to increase the difficulty for groups of Toons that have progressed to higher suits levels. Higher C.J. tiers would:
To calculate what difficulty tier C.J. you would have fought, first add together the total suit tier of your group. Cog Suit tiers are based on its rank on the Corporate Ladder, so a Bottom Feeder is Tier 1, and a Big Wig is Tier 8.
Cog | Bottom Feeder | Bloodsucker | Double Talker | Ambulance Chaser | Back Stabber | Spin Doctor | Legal Eagle | Big Wig |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Tier | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 |
For example, if a group of 2 Bottom Feeders, 3 Bloodsuckers, 1 Back Stabber and 2 Big Wigs were to enter the C.J. battle, the total sum of the groups suits would be 29. Then, take the take the total sum of the suits and divide it by the Toons going into the Boss. In this case 8 but can be lower depending on how many Toons go. Finally, take the 29 tier sum and divide by the amount of Toons going in this case 8 to find the total tier value of 3.62.
Note: Tier averages will always round up. The above 3.62 rounds up to 4. This would result in a Tier 2 C.J. with 8 lawyers present.
No matter the tier, the C.J. always had a health of 2700. The suit average dictated how many lawyers would spawn during the trial.
