The Captain

The Captain is an NPC Toon located in the Barnacle Boatyard playground on the S.S. Day-Sea sailing around the middle of the playground.
Appearance
The Captain is a light blue duck who wears the Sailor Outfit and a Sailor Hat.
Dialogue
The Captain will say various things as he enters and leaves the docks around the playground. This dialogue is as follows:
Entering a dock:
- "Come sail upon these waters!"
- "Calling all sailors!"
- "Free ferrying all day long!"
- "You're welcome to board the S.S. Day-Sea!"
- "Hop aboard, sailor!"
- "Going one-way?"
- "All aboard!"
- "Come aboard and enjoy my sea-shanty!"
Exiting a dock:
- "Time to set sail!"
- "Keep all paws and hooves inside the boat at all times."
- "Sing a song, me hearties, for we're setting sail!"
- "Yar-har fiddle-dee-dee!"
- "Here we go!"
- "Round and round we go!"
- "The fog may be harsh, but this ol' captain will pilot you safely!"
- "Let's hope this old boat still has what it takes!"
As part of the cogs.ink ARG, The Captain gained additional dialogue where he would tell a story if enough time was spent on his boat. This story would reveal the login information to the Deep Diver's account. The story is as follows:
- "Say, would you care to hear a story, lad?"
- "Since you're here, why not let an old captain entertain you for a while?"
- "When I was a young sailor, I used to go on several deep diving expeditions, exploring the great seas."
- "It wasn't an easy task, requiring quick thinking and good teamwork to succeed."
- "But that wasn't an issue for us; we knew the waters like the back of our gloves!"
- "You know, my crew and I were very close; we had to be, sharing such a small cabin! We couldn't go far from one another."
- "Ah, that old submarine... I remember the day I first stepped foot on it so clearly!"
- "The Anna Mary, if I recall correctly?"
- "She was a beauty of a submarine, I'll say. She could handle the roughest of waters and the deepest of depths."
- "As we explored the waters, we stumbled upon countless sights..."
- "More types of fish than I've seen in all my days out at sea, coral reefs, and even a few trenches."
- "Not all of them were memorable... some were just rocky caverns, but a few stood out to me."
- "I couldn't believe it when we first found the Competitor. We were swallowed by darkess as we descended! Our second destination, the Bandwidth, became pitch black as we continued."
- "The dark depths of them certainly spooked us, but we were a brave crew."
- "It was worth it, for we discovered sights unseen!"
- "Yet, before I knew it, our adventure was over. I can hardly remember a thing about what we saw in the waters that day, only how much I wanted to go back."
- "Every one and a while, I wonder if I could round up my old crew to explore the depths again."
- "I'll do anything to go on another expedition."
- "Perhaps one day, you could come along too!"
