As Toons progress through the game, they will travel to new Neighborhoods and make new friends. In each subsequent Neighborhood:

1. Tasks steadily become more difficult
2. Street Cogs are more dangerous
3. Amount of experience gained from completing ToonTasks increases

In order to complete an area and unlock ToonTasks in a new Neighborhood, the player must complete all tasks provided by the Toon HQ Officers. Some Neighborhoods also offer unique fish only found in their Playground and connecting streets.

Neighborhoods have a Main Taskline and 5 SideTasks. Each Neighborhood's Main Taskline concludes with a task to defeat either a Manager or a C.O.G.S. Boss. SideTasks either reward Toons with Teleportation Access to the Neighborhood the task takes place in or with a cosmetic reward. Cosmetic rewards can be Outfits/Accessories, Nametags, or Cheesy Effects.
