April Toons 2020

On April 1st of 2020 the v7.7.7 update was released marking the second annual April Toons event. This event would last from April 1st to April 18.

This event introduced limited time content such as the Redd "Heir" Wing, a new Cog HQ in Boredbot Headquarters and a new Cog Boss: the Chief of Dollars. Some previous features made their return as well with Sads the Skelecog, Toonseltown, and the ability to create 1 Laff Ubers.

Event Content

The initial April Toons release this year was posted by Sads the Skelecog. Sads chose to make the music and the Main Menu more "A E T H S T E T I C" and to reverse the gags menu. Sads rewrote the Toon Tips and "BUFFED WRECKING BALL BY 1 DAMAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" These changes also included new speedchat phrases, gag reskins, changes in cog sounds, renaming the playgrounds, and changing the font to comic sans. The Chief Financial Officer was also replaced with the Chief of Dollars.

On April 7 2020 Phase 2 of April Toons was released with the v7.7.7.7 update. This update changed Bowling Ball gags to coconuts. Redd "Heir" Wing became more difficult. A difficulty mode for the Sellbot Factory was added called Find the Foreman which allowed toons to "traverse the factory and find which foreman is the real one". The trains in Cashbot Headquarters were made to "look more like tank engines." Phase 2 also reversed the gags menu reversal, "cause people don't like fun." Boredbot Headquarters was added along with the Chief Operating Officer. By boarding the Boredbot Elevator, Toons could "fight" the C.O.O. and listen to him talk for a lengthy amount of time.
